Product Usage Instructions

Installation

1. Ensure the power source matches the input voltage range
specified for the LED driver.

2. Connect the driver to the LED module following the correct
polarity.

Adjusting Output Current

1. For HLG-185H-C500, adjust the output current between 250mA
and 500mA using the internal potentiometer.

2. Repeat the same process for other models within their
specified current ranges.

Dimming Operation

1. Use the DIM+ and DIM- terminals for dimming functionality.
Apply one of the three methodologies: 1 ~ 10VDC, 10V PWM signal, or
resistance.

1. How do I know if there are compatibility issues with my LED
system?

If you encounter any compatibility issues with your LED system,
please contact MEAN WELL for assistance.

2. Can I adjust the output current for all models?

The output current can be adjusted using the internal
potentiometer, but this feature is available only for A/AB type
drivers.

3. What is the dimming function of the HLG-185H-C series?

The HLG-185H-C series offers a 3-in-1 dimming function that

3. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.

4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time. 5. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the

complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again.

6. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED driver can only be used behind a switch without permanently

connected to the mains.

7. For OTP which triggered at light load/no load condition, proceed AC repower on to recovery. 8. This series meets the typical life expectancy of >62,000 hours of operation when Tcase, particularly tc point (or TMP, per DLC), is about 75 or less.
