basic operations
Power on:
- Long press the power/record on/off button for 3 seconds, the recorder will turn on after the power on screen appears and vibrates. Press and hold the power/record button for 3 seconds
Power off:
- Long press the power/record button for 3 seconds when the recorder is on, the recorder will turn off.
Recording/Saving:
- the recorder in standby mode short press the recording key to enter the recording state, this time the recorder vibrates a little and enter the recording state, the display will appear in the recording state display; in the recording process again short press the recording key to stop and save the current recording.
recording mode switching
- This recorder has two recording modes, namely: environment recording mode and call recording mode. The recording mode can be switched by the recording mode switch.
Call Sound Pressure Conduction Recording Mode:
- After the recording mode switch is pushed up, the recording mode toggle switch will be red, at this time the recorder will be in call recording mode, the recorder will enable the built-in sound pressure conduction microphone for recording, you need to adsorb the recorder on the back of the cell phone case to make call conduction recording.
Ambient Recording Mode:
- After the recording mode switch is pushed down, the recording mode toggle switch is grayed out, at this time, the recorder will be in ambient microphone recording mode, and the recorder will enable the ambient silicon microphone for recording.
System reset
- If the system is dead or inoperable, you can force the system to reset by long-pressing the power/record on/off button for 13 seconds.
Charge
- The magnetic end of the USB cable will be attached to the USB port of the recorder, and the big end will be inserted into the USB port of the computer or charger, when charging, the recorder will show the charging status, and the battery will be full in about 3 hours.
Note:
- This machine has anti-corrective magnetic tips, when connecting the machine’s magnetic interface, if you put it in can not be properly sucked into the corresponding holes, it indicates that put the reverse, please switch the direction of the magnetic head of the data cable to connect.

Connecting the computer
- Use the magnetic USB cable supplied with the device, insert the big end of the USB cable into the USB port of the computer, and the other end of the USB cable will be magnetized directly to the magnetic data port of the device, and then the computer will read the memory information of the device and enter the USB flash drive mode.
APP Operating Instructions
APP download and installation
- This recorder can be used alone or connected to the “Mecho” APP using Bluetooth. Download the “Mecho” APP by WeChat, QQ or scanning the QR code below and follow the instructions to install. Note: Currently, only IOS system is supported, Android system is not supported for the time being.
Bluetooth connectivity
- After the recorder is turned on, it will directly enter the Bluetooth pending connection state. After logging in the “Mecho” APP, click the “+ Connect Device” menu button in the upper left corner of the APP to find the device for Bluetooth connection, after the recorder is successfully connected to the APP, the APP will pop up the “Mecho Note” connected prompt box.
- After the recorder is successfully connected to APP, APP will pop up a prompt box that “Mecho Note” is connected. The recorder shows the status of the Bluetooth connection.
voice recording
- Recording: When the recorder is connected to the APP, short press the recording key of the recorder, the recorder will enter the recording mode, and the APP will also enter the recording state synchronously.
- APP side to initiate recording: the recorder and APP connection state, click the APP bottom menu bar in the “
“button, the recorder enters the recording mode, and the APP enters the recording state at the same time.
End Recording:
- Short press the record button on the recorder to end and save the recording. You can also directly touch the “Save” menu button on the top right corner of the app to end and save the recording.
- Synchronized uploading of recording files after recording: the recording files when the recorder and APP are not connected, after the recorder and APP are connected, under the file page, pull and slide down a bit will automatically detect the files stored in the pen end of the recorder that have not yet been transferred to the APP, and when the recording files to be transferred are detected, the system will automatically upload them to the APP.
WiFi fast transfer:
- this machine supports WiFi fast transfer function, offline larger recording files can choose fast transfer mode, the recorder and APP connection, in the file page, pull and slide down a bit will automatically detect the recorder pen end storage has not yet been transferred to the APP file, when the detection of recording files to be transferred, the system will automatically upload, at this time, you can click on the APP transfer progress bar on the right side of the “fast transfer” menu button, to connect the machine and mobile phone WiFi hotspot, after a successful connection, you can fast transfer mode.

audio file playback and management
Recording file playback:
- the saved recording file can be played directly on the APP, click to open the saved audio file on the APP, click on the play button below the file to start the playback of the current recording file.
Audio file transcription:
- click to open the APP saved audio files, click on the “immediate transcription” button, the system will be the current audio file text transcription; transcription can also be generated after the completion of the summary, mind map.
File Sharing:
- Click to open the audio file saved on the APP, then click the “.” menu button in the menu bar at the top right corner of the APP, select the sharing menu, you can share the current audio file, transcription, summarization, brain map with your friends via WeChat, QQ or email and other mainstream media.
Document deletion
- You can directly delete the local recording files as well as the recording files of the recorder in the APP terminal, find the file you want to delete, slide to the left and then the pop-up menu will appear, select Delete, then you can delete the current file.
Settings
- Click “Connected Devices” on the APP to enter the settings menu, which allows you to check the power and memory usage status of the recorder and the firmware version in real-time.
Private Settings:
- You can set this machine to disable the USB flash disk mode, after clicking open this item, this machine will not be able to connect with the computer.
Advanced Settings:
- There are several setting menus, such as Record Original WAV File Switch, Idle Shutdown Time Setting, Restore Initial Settings and Firmware Upgrade.
Record Original WAV File Switch:
- When this switch is turned on, the recorder will automatically generate the original WAV file.
Idle shutdown:
- you can set the shutdown time of the machine in the idle state, there are 15-minute, 30-minute, 1 hour, 5 hours and never shutdown options, you can set athem ccording to need.
Restore Initial Settings:
- Allows you to restore the unit to its initial settings.
Firmware Upgrade:
- This machine supports OTA online upgrade, when there is the latest firmware release, click on the firmware version to detect whether the machine’s firmware is the latest, if there is the latest machine will automatically connect to the WiFi hotspot for firmware upgrade and update.
