INSTALLATION GUIDE

PREPARATION
STEPI. Raise the vehicle and secure it with safety stands. Lower the axles or lift the body until the springs are fully extended.
STEP2. For Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Trailblazer, Envoy, Bravada, Avalanche, H2 Hummer, and Escalade models, you will need to trim the rubber isolator at the top of the valve stem to create additional clearance.

STEP 3. Remove the plastic cover from the air fitting on top of the coil spring bag (# 1). Then, roll up the coil spring bag to release the air. Once the air is fully released, reinstall the plastic cover or use another tool to seal the air fitting. You can use a tie (# 13) to compress the coil spring bag, making it easier to insert it into the vehicle’s coil.

NOTE:
If necessary, additional clearance between the coil turns can be achieved by removing the shock and lowering the suspension an additional 1to 2 inches.
INSTALLING THE COIL SPRINGBAG
STEP1. Push the coil spring bag into the coil by hand or using a blunt object, such as a spoon-type tire iron. Once the coil spring bag is fully inside the coil, remove the cap and allow it to return to its molded shape.
NOTE:
When inserting the coil spring bag into the coil, the air fitting may face either upward or downward. Choose the appropriate installation method based on the actual situation.
SITUATION 1. 1962 or newer GM vehicle or a 1966-1990 Ford vehicle a:Insert the flat coil spring bag through the lowest opening in the coil, ensuring that the air fitting is positioned at the bottom.
b. Push the coil spring bag to the top of the coil, and install the rubber block (# 2) on the upper surface of the lower spring seat.

SITUATION 2. 1991 and up Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, 2000 Suburban, 4DR-4WD Tahoe and Yukon, Trailblaz- er, Envoy, Bravada, Avalanche, Hummer H2, Escalade and Nissan Pathfinder vehicle
a. Insert the flat coil spring bag into the lowest part of the coil, ensuring that the air fitting is positioned at the top.

b. Place the coil spring bag at the bottom of the coil spring and insert the rubber block (# 2 ) on top.

INSTALLING THE HEAT SHIELD
STEP 1 Install the heat shield (# 11) in place of the exhaust pipe. Bend the heat shield tabs 1/2 inch to create an air gap between the heat shield and the exhaust pipe.

INSTALLING THE AIR LINES
STEP 1 cut the air line (# 3) into two equal lengths. Install the air line clamps (# 8) on one end of each air line. Route the air line through either the top or bottom of the spring seat, then use pliers to push the air line clamps up until they fully secure the air fitting.

STEP2. If your vehicle generally has even weight distribution, a single air line installation is recommended.

STEP 3. If your vehicle’s weight is unevenly distributed between the left and right sides, requiring different pressures to balance the load, a dual air line installation is recommended.

STEP 4. Attach the air line clamps (# 8) to the air line, then use pliers to compress the clamp ears and slide them forward until they fully cover the barbs.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR AIRLINE INSTALLATION
NOTE 1 Use only a sharp blade or hose cutter to cut the air tube, so that the cut is as square and smooth as possible.

NOTE:
If you are using a sharp utility or blade you must be very careful not to cut yourself during this operation.
Usually, the tube is trimmed before reinserting the fitting.
NOTE 2. To minimize the risk of air leakage, it’s advised to keep the bending angle of the air line <30° and avoid excessive bending.

NOTE 3. Ensure a snug fit between all components and the air line, avoiding any wrinkles at bends for optimal performance.

STEP 5. Install the inflatable valve in a selected location, usually on the license plate at the rear of the vehicle.
NOTE:
Minimum pressure: 5PSI Maximum pressure(loaded): 50PSI

CHECK AIR TIGHTNESS
– Once the coil spring bags has been inflated, check all air line fittings for air leaks. Spray a solution of soap and water on the fittings and inflation valves. If there is a leak you’l see the expanding bubbles around the leaking area.

- If leaking is at the tubing connection, check that you have a square cut and that the tube is fully inserted into the air fitting.
- If you find a leak where the air fitting screws into the spring, tighten the fitting another quarter turn and spray again.
- If you notice a leak at the connection between air tubing and valve core, cut the air line 11/2 inches (38 mm) behind the fitting and reinstall the air line, making sure the air line covers all barbs
- If you notice a leak from valve core, tighten valve core with wrench on inflation valve cap.
NOTE:
Remember, when using the coil spring bags, you must add air pressure to the springs before adding load to the vehicle.
