Mac
Keyboard
Charge it first
Charge the keyboard from a computer or USB-C charger. A full charge from empty takes 5 hours, and lasts approximately 3 years (in typical use).
The Receiver stays plugged in
Setup is simple… Plug one of the Receivers into your computer, then turn on the keyboard.
The Receiver stays plugged in, for instant wireless reconnects — plus its small size makes it perfect for notebook users.
Press the POWER button to turn ON / OFF.
The Caps Lock indicator light will flash…
Green to indicate ON
or
Amber to indicate OFF
Also works with BOTH receivers
If you want to use the keyboard wirelessly with TWO computers, simply plug one receiver into each computer. When you turn ON the keyboard, it will automatically connect to one of them.
To switch the connection to the OTHER receiver, simply double-click the POWER button on the keyboard.
Also works as a WIRED keyboard
If you plug the keyboard into a computer (via a cable), it automatically switches to WIRED mode.
If you then unplug or press the POWER button, it switches back to WIRELESS mode and attempts to connect to one of the wireless receivers.
Embedded number pad
Pressing the key toggles on & off the embedded numeric keypad.
What the Indicator Lights mean…
Flashing Green (1-2-3) | Keyboard ON |
Flashing Amber (1-2-3) | Keyboard OFF |
3 Flashes | Battery at / near FULL charge |
2 Flashes | Battery HIGHER than 50% |
1 Flash | Battery less than 50% |
Flashing Red | Battery less than 10% |
Flashing Blue | Pairing mode |
Flashing Red | Macro key being programmed |
How the fn key works on Mac
If you need to type F1 (rather than darken the screen) simply hold down fn and then press F1.
If this is not convenient, you can reverse it, via the System Settings:
Unplug with USB-C Puller
Being so small, the wireless USB-C receiver is a little more difficult to unplug — especially with larger hands — so we’ve included a free Puller tool, making it easy…
Simply place the Puller over the receiver, rotate a quarter turn, then pull the two ends together and out.
If you’ve lost a Receiver…
We have replacement receivers available.
Please contact… help@matias.ca
How to Pair to a new Receiver
Your keyboard is ALREADY paired to the receiver it came with, so you can skip this step, unless there are special circumstances — for example, pairing to a new replacement receiver.
You can pair any number of Matias keyboards or mice to the same Receiver. This is especially convenient for laptop users. For example, if you have a keyboard / mouse setup at home, and another at the office, you can plug one Receiver into your laptop and pair all the devices to that one receiver. Paired devices will automatically connect when they are in range.
- Unplug any receivers that may be in range of the keyboard.
- Hold down the Return key THEN press the POWER button UNTIL the Caps Lock light starts flashing Blue.
- Plug the Receiver into your computer, THEN place the keyboard as close as possible to the Receiver.
- When the indicator light stops flashing, pairing is complete.
