After playing a few songs from YouTube using Bluetooth setting there was a lot if static. Could there be a short in the machine??

Dominica, I do not use Blue Tooth for that reason. I found Blue Tooth can sometimes be unreliable in hard to reach areas. There seems to be interference from outside sources depending on the type of building you are in or if the building is using different WIFI and internet sources. When a stable connection is reached, Blue Tooth is usually fine. Also, I have never had a problem with the equipment. This AMAZING Karaoke machine is great! If you feel the machine has a short called the people you got the machine from. I’m sure they will be glad to help.
