    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

Why is my smart meter showing excessive power consumption, and why does my battery keep shutting down or disconnecting from Wi-Fi?

    Answer

Based on the MARSTEK CT001 manual and product information, here are troubleshooting steps for the issues you reported:

    • Inaccurate Power Consumption: Ensure the current transformers (CTs) are installed correctly. They must be fastened in the direction of the arrow shown on the clamp (page 22). If they are reversed, the readings will be incorrect. Also, note that in "Adaptive Mode," there can be a natural difference of up to 50 watts in the collector (page 27).
    • Wi-Fi Disconnection: The CT001 only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks (page 27). If your router is set to 5GHz or a combined band, the device may frequently disconnect. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz band during setup and that the signal strength at the meter's location is sufficient.
    • Battery/Power Issues: The CT001 is powered via a Type-C input (5V/1A). Check that the adapter and cable are securely connected. If you are referring to a connected MARSTEK Balcony Energy Storage battery shutting down, ensure the CT001 is properly linked in the app so the system can correctly read the household load and adjust output (page 27).
    • Server Selection: Ensure you have selected the "European Union" server in the app settings (page 24). Selecting the wrong server can cause data synchronization issues and history retrieval errors.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you can contact MARSTEK support at support@marstekenergy.com or call +86 400-115-6188. The product carries a 10-year warranty for manufacturing defects (page 29).
