1. Setting Gain Levels:

1. Mic/Line Input (MIC1) Combo XLR socket. Connect a microphone or line-level input. It accepts both XLR and ¼” (6.35 mm) jacks. Connect a microphone using an XLR plug; connect a line-level input using a TS or TRS ¼” (6.35 mm) jack. To protect the circuitry, the ¼” (6.35 mm) microphone input is not supported. Please use an XLR to XLR cable to connect your microphone.
2. Instrument Input (MIC2) – Accept Instrument level ¼”(6.35mm) TS plug input.

6. Mic/Line (MIC1) and Instrument (MIC2) Gain Knobs and LED Indicators The two gain control knobs correspond to the microphone/line input and the instrument input respectively. Users can adjust the preamplifier gain for each channel using these knobs to match the signal level of different audio sources and ensure optimal input levels. Each channel is equipped with a multi-color LED indicator that provides real-time feedback on the input signal status. The LED colors indicate the following: White: Input device detected; channel is connected. Green: Signal level is within the optimal gain range. Yellow: Signal is approaching clipping; increase gain cautiously. Red: Clipping detected; signal level is too high and may cause distortion.

To achieve the best recording quality and maintain a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), avoid allowing the signal to enter the red clipping range. It is recommended to set the gain so that the LED remains primarily in the green zone, with occasional peaks into the yellow zone during louder performances or speech.
7. 48V Phantom Power Switch and LED Indicator Press the switch to enable and disable 48V phantom power for the microphone input. The LED indicator turns white when phantom power is enabled. Please note that phantom power can only be enabled when an XLR microphone is connected. Typically, only condenser
microphones require phantom power. It is important to avoid turning on phantom power when it is not needed, as it may damage your microphone. If you are unsure about the type of microphone you have, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer for confirmation. 8. Direct Monitor Switch and LED Indicator – Enable and disable real-time monitoring of mic and instrument input with a single button press. When enabled, the mix of microphone input and instrument input is routed to both left and right channels of the headphones and monitor output. The LED indicator turns white to indicate that the Director Monitor feature is enabled.
9. Monitor Level and LED Indicator – Adjust the level of the monitor L and R outputs on the rear of the device using this knob. The LED indicator turns white to indicate that the PS22 Lite is powered.
10. Headphone Level and LED Indicator – Use this knob to adjust the level of the headphone jack on the right side of the device. The LED indicates device status: Blue: PS22 Lite is powered, but no data connection detected.

Stream Mode, Studio Mode and Instrument Stream Mode
The PS22 Lite offers two modes for enhanced convenience in streaming and music recording applications.
By default:
Stream Mode: Both the MIC1 and MIC2 inputs on the computer duplicate the hardware MIC/Line input signal. If only the MIC/Line Input (MIC1) is connected, the device automatically enters stream mode. Stream mode enhances compatibility with streaming software and mobile devices that may encounter difficulties with mono channel audio input. Studio Mode: The MIC1 on the computer maps to the hardware MIC/Line input signal, while the MIC2 on the computer maps to the hardware instrument input signals. If the Instrument Input (MIC2) is connected, the device automatically enters studio mode. Studio mode allows for separate track (stereo) recording in music applications.
Switching from Studio Mode to Instrument Stream Mode:
If you need to enter Instrument Stream Mode when an instrument is connected, simply hold the Direct Monitor button for more than 3 seconds. When enabled, the mix of hardware microphone input and hardware instrument input is routed to both MIC1 and MIC2. The LED indicator of the headphone level knob will turn purple when the device is in this mode.

Driver and Maono Routing Center
PS22 Lite USB Audio Interface does not require any driver installation on macOS and Windows operating systems. However, if you are using the Windows operating system and require access to advanced features such as the ASIO low latency driver, software routing capabilities, and virtual channels, we recommend downloading and installing the Maono Routing Center software, which also installs the ASIO driver automatically. 1. Entrada de micrófono/línea (MIC1): conector XLR combinado. Conecte un micrófono o una entrada de nivel de línea. Acepta conectores XLR y de ¼” (6,35 mm). Conecte un micrófono mediante un conector XLR; conecte una entrada de nivel de línea usando un conector TS o TRS de ¼” (6,35 mm). Para proteger los circuitos, no se admite la entrada de micrófono de ¼” (6,35 mm). Utilice un cable XLR a XLR para conectar su micrófono.
2. Entrada de instrumento (MIC2): acepta entrada de conector TS de ¼”(6,35 mm) de nivel de instrumento.

Blanco: Dispositivo de entrada detectado; el canal está conectado. Verde: El nivel de señal está dentro del rango de ganancia óptimo. Amarillo: La señal se acerca al recorte; aumente la ganancia con precaución. Rojo: Se detectó recorte; el nivel de señal es demasiado alto y puede causar distorsión. Para lograr la mejor calidad de grabación y mantener una alta relación señal-ruido (SNR), evite que la señal entre en el rango rojo de recorte. Se recomienda ajustar la ganancia de modo que el LED permanezca principalmente en la zona verde, con picos ocasionales en la zona amarilla durante interpretaciones o discursos más fuertes.
7. Interruptor de alimentación fantasma de 48 V e indicador LED: presione el interruptor para habilitar y deshabilitar la alimentación fantasma de 48 V para la entrada del micrófono. El indicador LED se vuelve blanco cuando la alimentación fantasma está habilitada. Tenga en cuenta que la alimentación fantasma solo se puede habilitar cuando se conecta un micrófono XLR. Normalmente, sólo los micrófonos de condensador requieren alimentación fantasma. Es importante evitar activar la alimentación fantasma cuando no sea necesaria, ya que podría dañar el micrófono. Modo Stream, modo Studio y modo Stream Instrument
La PS22 Lite ofrece dos modos para mayor comodidad en aplicaciones de transmisión y grabación de música.
Por defecto:
Modo Stream: Tanto las entradas MIC1 como MIC2 de la computadora duplican la señal de entrada MIC/Line del hardware. Si solo está conectada la entrada MIC/Line (MIC1), el dispositivo ingresa automáticamente al modo de transmisión. El modo Stream mejora la compatibilidad con software de streaming y dispositivos móviles que pueden tener dificultades con la entrada de audio de canal mono.
Modo Estudio: El MIC1 en la computadora se asigna a la señal de entrada de MIC/Línea del hardware, mientras que el MIC2 en la computadora se asigna a las señales de entrada del instrumento de hardware. Si la entrada de instrumento (MIC2) está conectada, el dispositivo ingresa automáticamente al modo de estudio. El modo Estudio permite la grabación de pistas separadas (estéreo) en aplicaciones de música.

Si necesita ingresar al modo Instrument Stream cuando hay un instrumento conectado, simplemente mantenga presionado el botón Direct Monitor durante más de 3 segundos.
