Mounting – The device mounts on a 4″ square (or 4×4) electrical box. Do not mount the device inside another box, unless it has good air flow through it.
Power Supply – Use Class 2 power supply only for 6-series. Power connector does not have polarity preference.
· Connect the device to the control cables with terminal plugs. Connect the cable to corresponding terminal modular connector (refer to Figure 1 and 2).
· For 4-20mA connection, connect the wire to appropriate polarity. · Relay connectors labeled `A’ and `B’ can be configured to normally open
(NO) or normally closed (NC) via configuration menu. · For Relay Connectors labeled `NC’, `COM’ and `NO’, NC refers to normally
closed, COM refers to common, and NO refers to normally open.

NOTE: The safety of any system incorporating the equipment is the responsibility of the installer of the system.
4. Operations NOTE: Refer to product User Instructions to get additional details on product feature and operation.
Power Up Macurco 6/12 Series detector will execute a self-test cycle any time power is dropped and reapplied (i.e. power failure). During the test, the indicator LED will flash green and count down is displayed. After countdown is over, the indicator LED will turn solid green and the detector is ready for use.
Status Indicator – From lowest to highest, the alarm priority is as follows: Awareness Alarm, Alarm 1, Alarm 2, Alarm 3, Trouble Fault. The following alarm behavior is observed with the default settings (display “On”, buzzer “On”):
· Clean Air The device will show the current gas concentration. · Alarm Level When the gas concentration is beyond the alarm level
threshold, the corresponding alarm relay will engage and the display will flash between `ALr’ (`ALrX’ for CD-6B ,where X is 1,2 and 3 for Alarm 1, 2 and 3 respectively) and current gas reading, and buzzer will beep every second. · Trouble If the detector is in a trouble state, the “t” Error code will be displayed (t01, for example). The green status indicator LED light will flash, and the buzzer will beep intermittently. If the Trouble Condition setting is enabled (default is “OFF”), Alarm Relay (Alarm 1 Relay for CD-6B) will activate. · Calibration Due If the device is within 1 month of calibration period and Calibration Period functionality is enabled, then the display will flash between “dUE” and current gas concentration. Calibration Due is resolved only with a successful field calibration.1 1 Calibration Due features might not be available on all Macurco detectors.
Change Settings – To change settings, remove the Philips screw on the front of the detector. Pull off the front cover of the unit. Locate the MENU/NEXT and ENTER/TEST buttons.
To change a setting, in normal mode: 1. Push the Next button to get to “Con” (Configuration) menu. 2. Push the Enter button to enter the Con menu. 3. Push the Next button until the desired setting is visible. 4. Push Enter. 5. Push Next to cycle through available options. 6. Push Enter to confirm the change. 7. Push Enter again to return to the Con menu. 8. Push Next until “End” is displayed. 9. Push Enter to get back to normal operation.

7. Installation Se reporter au manuel de l’appareil pour connaître la couverture du détecteur et l’emplacement d’installation. REMARQUE : couper l’alimentation pendant l’installation et le câblage. Utiliser un fil de 12 à 22 AWG.
Montage – L’appareil se monte sur un boîtier électrique carré de 4″ (ou 4×4). Ne montez pas l’appareil à l’intérieur d’un autre boîtier, à moins qu’il n’y ait une bonne circulation d’air.
Alimentation – Utiliser une alimentation de Classe 2 uniquement pour la série 6. Le connecteur d’alimentation n’a pas de préférence de polarité.
· Connecter l’appareil aux câbles de commande à l’aide de fiches de borne. Brancher le câble au connecteur modulaire de la borne correspondante (se reporter aux Figures 1 et 2).
· Pour une connexion de 4 à 20 mA, brancher le fil à la polarité appropriée. · Les connecteurs de relais libellés « A » et « B » peuvent être configurés
pour être normalement ouverts (NO) ou normalement fermés (NF) via le menu de configuration. · Pour les connecteurs de relais libellés « NF », « COM » et « NO », NF signifie normalement fermé, COM signifie à commun et NO signifie normalement ouvert.

REMARQUE : l’installateur du système est responsable de la sécurité de tout système intégrant l’équipement.
8. Opérations REMARQUE : se reporter aux Instructions d’utilisation de l’appareil pour obtenir des détails supplémentaires sur les fonctionnalités et l’opération de l’appareil. Mise sous tension le détecteur des Séries 6/12 de Macurco exécute un cycle d’auto-test chaque fois que l’alimentation est interrompue et réactivée (par exemple, une coupure de courant). Pendant le test, le voyant DEL clignote en vert et le compte à rebours s’affiche. Une fois le compte à rebours terminé, le voyant DEL devient vert continu et le détecteur est prêt à être utilisé.
Indicateur d’état – de la plus basse à la plus haute, la priorité de l’alarme est la suivante : Alarme de sensibilisation, Alarme 1, Alarme 2, Alarme 3, Panne. Le comportement suivant de l’alarme est observé avec les réglages par défaut (affichage « ON », avertisseur sonore « ON »):
· Air pur : l’appareil affiche la concentration actuelle en gaz. · Niveau d’alarme lorsque la concentration en gaz dépasse le seuil de
niveau d’alarme, le relais d’alarme correspondant s’engage et l’affichage clignote entre « ALr » (« ALrX » pour CD-6B, où X est 1,2 et 3 pour les alarmes 1, 2 et 3 respectivement) et le relevé de gaz actuel, et l’avertisseur sonore retentit toutes les secondes. · Panne si le détecteur est en panne, le code d’erreur « t » s’affiche (t01, par exemple). Le voyant d’état DEL vert clignote et l’avertisseur sonore retentit par intermittence. Si le réglage de l’état de panne est activé (la valeur par défaut est « OFF »), le relais d’alarme (relais d’Alarme 1 pour CD-6B) s’active. · Étalonnage « dUE » si l’appareil se trouve à un mois de la période d’étalonnage et si la fonctionnalité de la période d’étalonnage est activée, l’affichage clignote entre « dUE » et la concentration de gaz actuelle. L’étalonnage « dUE » est résolu uniquement avec un étalonnage réussi sur le terrain1. 1 les fonctions d’étalonnage « dUE » peuvent ne pas être disponibles sur tous les détecteurs de Macurco.
Modification des paramètres – pour modifier les paramètres, retirer la vis Philips située à l’avant du détecteur. Retirer le couvercle avant de l’appareil. Repérer les boutons MENU/SUIVANT et ENTRER/TEST.
Pour modifier un paramètre, en mode Normal : 10. Appuyer sur le bouton Suivant pour accéder au menu « Con »
(Configuration). 11. Appuyer sur le bouton Entrée pour accéder au menu Con. 12. Appuyer sur le bouton Suivant jusqu’à ce que le réglage souhaité soit
visible. 13. Appuyer sur Entrée. 14. Appuyer sur Suivant pour parcourir les options disponibles. 15. Appuyer sur Entrée pour confirmer la modification. 16. Appuyer de nouveau sur Entrée pour revenir au menu Con. 17. Appuyer sur Suivant jusqu’à ce que « Fin » s’affiche. 18. Appuyer sur Entrée pour revenir au fonctionnement normal.
