Product Usage Instructions

  • Read the safety warnings carefully and only use the product as described in these instructions to avoid accidental injury or damage.
  • Keep these instructions for future reference. If you give this product to another person, remember to also include these instructions.
  • Slide the battery compartment cover off the handle in the direction of the arrow.
  • Remove the used batteries if necessary.
  • Insert new batteries into the compartment.
  • Slide the battery compartment cover back onto the handle.
  • To switch the light on, slide the On/Off switch forward. To switch the light off, slide the On/Off switch to the rear.
  • Grasp the pet tick remover and position the tweezers and magnifier for better visibility.
  • Open the tweezers by pressing the arms together at the two pressure points.
  • Tension your pet’s skin where the tick is located and slide the tip of the tweezers between the skin and the tick’s body.
  • Carefully pull the tick out vertically. Do not twist it!
  • Disinfect the area after tick removal.

Safety warnings

Keep these instructions for future reference. If you give this product to another person, remember to also include these instructions.
The product is intended for gripping and removing ticks from dogs and cats.
It has been designed for home use. It is not suitable for commercial purposes in animal husbandry or care, or for veterinary or human medical treatments. The product is not a medical device.

  • Not a children’s toy! Use only under adult supervision. Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children. They pose several risks, including the risk of suffocation!
  • Be careful not to pinch your pet.
  • Be careful when using the tweezers near the eyes or other sensitive parts of your pet’s body. Hold your pet firmly and, if possible, arrange for a second person to help you. If your pet moves unexpectedly, unintended injuries can result.
  • Do not look directly into the light. Always hold the product and your pet in such a way that the light does not shine into your pet’s eyes.
  • Swallowing batteries can be fatal. If a battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal chemical burns and even death within 2 hours.
  • Therefore, keep both new and old batteries and the product out of the reach of children. If you think that a battery has been swallowed or has got into the body in any other way, seek medical advice immediately.
  • If a battery has leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. If necessary, rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor immediately.
  • Single-use batteries must not be charged, taken apart, thrown into a fire, or short-circuited.
  • Protect batteries / the battery compartment from excessive heat (radiators, direct sunlight). Remove the batteries from the product when they are flat or if you do not intend to use the product for a longer period of time. This will prevent damage caused by leakage.
  • Always replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries, different types or brands of batteries, or batteries with different capacities.
  • If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before inserting the batteries. Risk of overheating!
  • Ensure that the polarity (+/–) is correct when inserting the batteries.•Protect the product from dust, moisture, direct sunlight, and extreme temperatures.
  • Do not use any caustic, aggressive, or abrasive products for cleaning.
  • The LEDs are firmly built in and cannot and must not be replaced.
  • Never immerse the product in water or any other liquids. If necessary, wipe the product clean with a slightly dampened cloth.

Inserting/replacing batteries

  1. Slide the battery compartment cover off the handle in the direction of the arrow.
  2. Remove the used batteries if necessary.
  3. Insert the new batteries as illustrated. Ensure that the polarity is correct (+/–).
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back onto the handle

Switching the light on/off

  • To switch the light on, slide the On/Off switch forward.
  • To switch the light off, slide the On/Off switch to the rear.

Removing ticks

Caution: Ticks must be removed as quickly as possible, without touching them first, and preferably whole.

  1. Grasp the pet tick remover and move the tweezers and the magnifier towards each other so that you can …
    • easily reach the pressure points of the tweezers with your fingers and
    • see the tip of the tweezers clearly through the magnifier.
  2. Open the tweezers by pressing the two arms together at the two pressure points.
  3. Use your other hand to tension your pet’s skin where the tick is located and, if necessary, hold the hair or fur to one side.
  4. Slide the tip of the tweezers between the skin and the body of the tick and close the tweezers by carefully releasing the pressure from the pressure points.
    Be careful not to crush the tick’s body.
  5. Carefully pull the tick out vertically. Do not twist it!
  6. Disinfect the area.

Notice: Observe the affected skin area over the next few days. If you notice any redness, swelling, or similar effects, take your pet to a veterinarian to have any infection treated.
