Version Overview
The LARK M2 system is available in several configurations:
- LARK M2 Duo (Lightning): Includes charging case, transmitter (TX), and two receivers (RX) with Lightning connectors.
- LARK M2 Duo (USB-C): Includes charging case, transmitter (TX), and two receivers (RX) with USB-C connectors.
- LARK M2 Duo (Camera): Includes charging case, transmitter (TX), and two receivers (RX) designed for camera connection.
- LARK M2 Combo: Includes charging case, transmitter (TX), and multiple receivers (RX) in various configurations. The exact quantity of items depends on the product configuration.

The LARK M2 system consists of transmitters (TX) and receivers (RX), along with a charging case.
Mobile Version Components:
TX1: Transmitter unit.
RX (USB-C/Lightning): Receiver unit with either a USB-C or Lightning connector.
Charging Case: Used for charging and storing the TX and RX units.

Product Usage (Mobile Version)
TX Placement
The preferred placement for the TX is at the collar. For speaking with a loud volume, an upper chest position can be chosen. The TX can be worn using either the back clip or the clip magnet.
- Using Clip Magnet: Place the clip magnet on the back of the collar and secure the TX on the front of the collar with the magnet.
- Using Back Clip: Clip the back clip onto the collar and secure the TX with the clip.
A magnet necklace is included for securing the TX around your neck.
For best sound quality during recording, ensure the TX is placed correctly and the microphone is not covered by any cloth. When recording outdoors, use a windscreen to minimize noise from wind and breathing.
Connecting RX to Phone
- Lightning Version: Plug the RX (Lightning) into the phone.
- USB-C Version: Plug the RX (USB-C) into the phone.
Charging Phone via RX
Charge your phone through the RX for simultaneous charging and usage.
Product Usage (Camera Version)
Connecting RX to Camera
- Attach the RX to the camera's hot shoe or cold shoe using the back clip.
- Connect the RX's 3.5mm audio output port to the camera's 3.5mm audio input port using a 3.5mm TRS to TRS cable.
- Set the camera's recording volume to the minimum level and the receiver's output volume to the medium level to ensure the best recording quality.

Product Usage
Automatic On/Off
The TX and RX turn on automatically when taken out of the charging case and turn off automatically when placed back in.
Manual On/Off
Press and hold the TX power button, or the Camera Version RX power button for 3 seconds to turn the device on or off.
Noise Cancellation
- TX: Press the noise-cancellation button on TX to turn the function on or off. The status indicator on TX turns green when noise cancellation is active.
- Mobile Version RX: Press the noise-cancellation button on the mobile version RX to turn the function on or off. The status indicator on the RX turns green when noise cancellation is active.
Manual Pairing
- TX: With the TX off, press and hold the TX pairing button for 6 seconds to start pairing. The TX status light will quickly flash blue when in pairing mode.
- Mobile Version RX: Connect the RX to a phone and hold the pairing button for 3 seconds to start pairing. The RX status light will quickly flash blue when in pairing mode.
- Camera Version RX: With the camera version RX on, hold the pairing button for 3 seconds to start pairing.
The TX and the RX are pre-paired at the factory.
Charging
Manual Charging:
- TX: When the status indicator on TX turns into slow flashing red, charge the TX using the magnetic charger. Solid orange indicates charging in progress. Solid green indicates charging completed, and the light will go off 30 minutes later.
- Camera Version RX: When both status indicators on the camera version RX turn into fast flashing red, charge the RX using the charging cable. Solid orange indicates charging in progress. Solid green indicates charging completed, and the light will go off 30 minutes later.
Automatic Charging:
When the status indicator on TX turns into slow flashing red, or when both status indicators on RX turn into fast flashing red, place them in the charging case. They will start charging automatically. Solid orange indicates charging in progress. Solid green indicates charging completed.
Video Recording Control
While shooting with your phone, double-press the button on TX to start or stop video recording.
This function only works when the camera app of your phone supports controlling video recording by pressing the volume key.
Mode Switching (Camera Version RX Only)
- Connected to a phone: The green light stays on, supporting mono mode only.
- Connected to a camera: The blue light stays on, indicating stereo mode; the green light stays on, indicating mono mode.
To switch mode, simply press the mode switching button on the RX.
Volume Lock (Camera Version RX Only)
To lock the current volume level on the Camera Version RX, simply double-click the power button. Double-click the power button again to release the volume lock.
Volume Adjustment: The factory default volume is set at medium level, with three levels available: high, medium, and low.
Volume Control Diagram Description: Turn the volume knob clockwise to turn the volume up. Turn the volume knob counterclockwise to turn the volume down.
Firmware Update
- Mobile Version: Update via the Lark Sound app.
- Camera Version: Update via the Lark Sound app or from the Hollyland official website.
Note: The mobile version only supports mono mode. Only pair one RX to the TX during recording to ensure proper operation of the LARK M2 combo version.

Lark Sound App
The Lark Sound app is available for download on Xiaomi, Huawei, and Apple App Stores. You can also scan the QR code (not included here) to download the app.
The Lark Sound app is a perfect match for Hollyland wireless microphones. With the app, users gain access to smart features such as parameter configurations and firmware updates, enhancing microphone performance.
