Thank you for purchasing the Candy induction hob. Please read this instruction manual carefully before using the hob and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
The induction hob has a main body width of 59cm and a depth of 52cm. The recommended cut-out dimensions for installation in a countertop are approximately 59cm wide by 52cm deep, with specific corner radii of 6.2cm and 5.8cm.
Diagrams show the overall dimensions and cut-out area.
This function allows you to set a maximum power absorption level for the induction hob, choosing from different power ranges. The hob can automatically limit its power to avoid overloading. It is not necessary to place pots on the heating zones to set this function. We suggest starting the setting within 5 seconds after connecting the power. You must enter the power setting mode within 60 seconds.
Short press the "Boost" key. There are 6 power levels available, displayed as "7.4", "6.5", "5.5", "4.5", "3.5", or "2.5", indicating the maximum power in kW.
After selecting the desired power setting mode, press the "Lock" key. The power mode is set successfully when the timer indicator stops flickering.
To exit the Power Management Function after setting, disconnect and reconnect the power. The hob will then turn off.
Use only cookware with a base suitable for induction hobs. Look for the induction symbol or test with a magnet; if attracted, the cookware is suitable. If no magnet is available, place water in the pan and check if it heats up without error indicators.
Unsuitable materials include: pure stainless steel, aluminum or copper without a magnetic base, glass, wood, porcelain, ceramic, and earthenware. Avoid cookware with serrated edges or curved bases.
Ensure the cookware base is flat, sits flush on the glass surface, and matches the cooking zone size. Using slightly larger pans maximizes energy efficiency. Pans smaller than 140mm may not be detected. Always center the cookware on the zone.
Important: Lift cookware off the hob; do not slide it, as this can scratch the glass.
If the ferromagnetic part only partially covers the pan base, only that area will heat up. Non-homogeneous ferromagnetic areas (e.g., with aluminum inserts) may affect heating and detection. Pans with bases similar to specific illustrated examples may not be detected.
Cooking Zone | Minimum Base Diameter (mm) | Maximum Base Diameter (mm) |
---|---|---|
1 | 120 | 160 |
2 | 160 | 210 |
3 | 180 | 290 |
These dimensions may vary based on pan size and material.
WARNING: The appliance and its accessible parts become hot during use. Take care not to touch heating elements.
Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the appliance unless constantly supervised.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, if supervised or instructed on safe use and understanding the risks involved.
Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
WARNING: Cooking on a hob with grease or oil without supervision can be dangerous, as fires may occur.
NEVER attempt to extinguish a fire with water; switch off the appliance and cover the flame, e.g., with a lid or fire blanket.
WARNING: Fire hazard: do not store items on the cooking surfaces.
WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
Pacemaker Warning: Individuals wearing cardiac pacemakers should consult a doctor before using the induction hob.
1. Cut a hole in the countertop according to the diagram. A minimum space of 50mm should be left around the hole. The countertop must be at least 30mm thick and made of heat-resistant material.
Diagram (1) shows the cut-out dimensions (approx. 59cm x 52cm) and required clearances.
2. Ensure the induction hob is well-ventilated, with unobstructed air intake and outlet. Install as shown in Diagram (2).
Diagram (2) illustrates ventilation requirements, showing minimum clearances for air intake and outlet, and a minimum height of 760mm above the hob.
3. Fix the hob to the countertop using the four base supports, adjusting their position as needed.
Installation Warnings:
4. Electrical Connection: The power outlet must be connected to a single-pole circuit breaker according to relevant standards.
Voltage | Wire Connection |
---|---|
380-415V 3N~ | Brown, Black, Blue, Yellow/Green |
220-240V~ | Black and Brown, Blue, Yellow/Green |
Diagram (3) shows the connection method. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.
If connecting directly to the mains, install an omnipolar circuit breaker with a minimum 3mm contact gap. The installer must ensure correct and safe electrical connection. The cable should not be bent or compressed and must be checked regularly.
Controls respond to touch; use the pad of your finger. A beep confirms touch registration. Keep controls clean, dry, and uncovered.
Touch the On/Off control. The hob enters standby mode. Place a suitable pan on the zone, ensuring both the pan base and zone surface are clean and dry. Select the heat setting using the +/- controls. The heat setting can be changed anytime.
If the heat setting symbol flashes: No pan is placed, the pan is unsuitable, too small, or off-center. Heating will not start until a suitable pan is correctly placed. The display will turn off after 1 minute if no suitable pan is detected.
Turn off the zone by setting its control to "0" or pressing the "-" and "+" controls together. Ensure "0" is displayed. Alternatively, turn off the entire hob using the On/Off control.
The letter "H" will appear on a zone that is hot to the touch and will disappear when it cools down. This can also be used for energy saving by utilizing residual heat for other cooking.
Select a heating zone and press the "Boost" control. The zone indicator will show "P", indicating maximum power. To cancel, press the "Boost" control again or the "-" and "+" controls together. The zone returns to its original setting or turns off. The Boost function is valid for any zone and automatically reverts to the original setting after 5 minutes.
Press the lock control to lock all controls except On/Off, preventing accidental use. The timer indicator will show "Lo". To unlock, press and hold the lock control for a few seconds. In an emergency, the hob can be turned off using the On/Off button, but must be unlocked for further use.
The timer can be used as a minute minder (alarm only) or to automatically switch off one or more cooking zones after a set time (maximum 99 minutes).
Ensure the hob is on and a zone is selected with power set. Touch the timer "+" control. The minute indicator will flash, showing "10". Adjust time using the timer "-" or "+" controls (1-minute increments with a single press, 10-minute increments with a long press). To cancel, select the zone, activate the timer function, then press "-" and "+" together; "00" will appear. Countdown starts immediately. A beep sounds for 30 seconds when the time is up, and the timer indicator shows "--".
Select the zone and set the power. Before the display stops flashing, activate the timer by pressing the zone's timer controls. Adjust time as described above. To cancel, follow the same procedure as the minute minder. A red dot next to the power level indicator shows the selected zone. When the set time expires, the corresponding zone turns off automatically. Other active zones continue to function.
To set timers for multiple zones simultaneously, the decimal points for those zones will illuminate. The minute display shows the timer for the selected zone. The decimal point for the selected zone flashes. Once the time expires for a zone, it turns off, and the timer display updates for the next zone.
The hob has an automatic shut-off feature for safety, turning off zones if you forget. Default operating times are:
Power Level | Auto Shut-off Time (Hours) |
---|---|
1-3 | 8 |
4-6 | 4 |
7-9 | 2 |
When a pan is removed, heating stops immediately, and the zone turns off after 2 minutes.
Disconnect the power supply before cleaning.
