GLI 18V-300 Professional Cordless Worklight
Safety Instructions
⚠ Read all safety and general instructions.
Failure to observe these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury. Save these instructions for future reference.
- Handle the worklight with care. The worklight generates intense heat, increasing the risk of fire and explosion.
- Do not operate the worklight in potentially explosive areas.
- Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the worklight has automatically switched off, as this can damage the battery. Ensure the battery is charged and the worklight has cooled before switching it on again.
- Use only original Bosch accessories.
- The light source is not replaceable. If defective, the entire cordless worklight must be replaced.
- In case of damage or improper use, battery vapors may be emitted. The battery can ignite or explode. Ensure the area is well-ventilated and seek medical attention for any adverse effects. Vapors may irritate the respiratory system.
- If used incorrectly or if the battery is damaged, flammable liquid may be ejected. Avoid contact with this liquid. If contact occurs, rinse with water. If liquid gets into your eyes, seek immediate medical attention. Ejected liquid can cause irritation or burns.
- The battery can be damaged by sharp objects (e.g., nails, screwdrivers) or external force. This can cause an internal short circuit, leading to the battery burning, smoking, exploding, or overheating.
- When not in use, keep the battery away from small metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, or screws, which can bridge the terminals. A short circuit between battery terminals can cause burns or fire.
- Do not open the battery; there is a risk of short-circuiting.
- Only use the battery with products from the manufacturer to protect it against dangerous overload.
- ? Protect the battery from heat (e.g., direct sunlight), fire, dirt, water, and moisture. There is a risk of explosion and short-circuiting.
- Only charge batteries using manufacturer-recommended chargers. Using a charger designed for one battery type with a different type can pose a fire risk.
- Remove batteries before performing any work on the worklight (assembly, maintenance, etc.), or when transporting and storing it. Accidental activation of the on/off switch can cause injury.
- Do not direct the light beam at persons or animals, and do not stare into the beam yourself, even from a distance.
- Do not use the worklight in road traffic; it is not permitted for illumination purposes in traffic.
- Do not cover the lamp head while the worklight is operating. The lamp head heats up and can cause burns if heat accumulates.
- This cordless worklight is intended for professional use only. Do not allow children to use it, as they could unintentionally blind themselves or others.
