Raymarine Axiom 2 Pro 9" Mounting Template Printing Instructions
Important Caution
Caution: Ensure mounting template is printed true-to-scale. Before modifying the mounting surface, verify that the actual printed template matches the measurements provided in the template document.
Configuring Adobe Acrobat for Raymarine Recommended Print Settings
Adobe Acrobat must be configured correctly to ensure mounting templates print true-to-scale. Follow these steps with the mounting template document open in Acrobat Reader:
- Select File → Properties.
- Make a note of the Page Size.
- Select File → Print. The print dialog will be displayed.
- Select Properties.
- Ensure the paper size is set to the same dimensions as the page size identified in Step 1.
- Click OK to return to the print settings dialog.
- Ensure "Size Options" and "Page Scaling" options (as appropriate) are set to "Actual Size" or "None".
- Ensure the "Auto-Rotate and Center" or "Auto portrait / landscape" option (as appropriate) is NOT ticked.
- Select the relevant orientation to match the template document orientation ("portrait" or "landscape"; most templates are landscape).

Axiom 2 Pro 9" Mounting Template Diagram Details
This section describes the dimensions and types of mounting for the Axiom 2 Pro 9" unit, as shown in the template diagram. The stated dimensions reflect the actual product size and do not include any clearance allowances.
Mounting Types:
- Surface Mount: Requires removal of material from the "Shaded" cutout area.
- Flush Mount: Requires removal of material from the "Shaded" area and rebating the "Hatched" area to a depth of 15.00 mm (0.59 in).

- Flush Mount Rebate (actual product size): 299.3 mm (11.78 in)
- Surface Mount Suncover: 306.00 mm (12.0 in)

General Installation Guidance
Before drilling or cutting any holes in your vessel, ensure you read the detailed installation instructions provided with your product and the guidance below:
- Always select a drill bit type (for holes) or saw type (for cutouts) that is suitable for the mounting surface material and thickness.
- For self-tapping screws: Drill one pilot hole only. Use a provided screw to test the mounting surface for tightness and security. Once confident in the drill bit size and type, drill the remaining pilot holes.
- For bolts: Drill one pilot hole only. Select a suitable drill bit size for the mounting surface material and thickness. If in doubt, use a smaller drill bit size than indicated. Drill out the pilot hole in one position only, then use a provided bolt to test the mounting surface for tightness and security. Once confident, drill the remaining holes.
- Always use any supplied washers or other additional fixing hardware.
- Do NOT overtighten screws or bolts.
