Q1. How do I connect the S7 to a computer?

First, use the original power cable to power the S7. Then, use the original data cable—connect the Type-C end to the S7 and the USB-A end to the computer. If your computer doesn't have a USB-A port, you can use an adapter. Please note: if no lens is installed, there will be no video output.

Q2. How do I add the S7 video feed to my computer?

Using OBS as an example: First, ensure the S7 is successfully connected to the computer. Then open OBS, go to "Video Capture Device", and you'll see a device name like "YX-CAM" followed by a serial number. Select it and add.

Common Issues

Q1. Video stuttering, frame drops, or frozen feed during long streams

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check if the USB cable is the original USB 3.0 cable.
  2. Ensure the USB cable is plugged into a USB 3.0 port on your computer.
  3. Check your computer's specs, including motherboard, GPU, CPU, RAM, storage, and Windows version.
  4. Open Task Manager to check resource usage.

Q2. Screen flickering during livestreaming

1) Open the Compose App and go to Exposure settings. Under Auto Exposure, try switching between 50Hz and 60Hz.

2) In Manual Exposure, set the shutter speed to 1/60 or 1/100.

Q3. Unable to connect S7 with Compose App

Issue: App stuck on “connecting” and unable to preview or adjust settings.

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Ensure the network is connected.
  2. Try a different USB cable and confirm it's plugged into a USB 3.0 port.
  3. Check the camera firmware version. You can email contact@yololiv.com to update the firmware.

Q4. Video issues with S7

  1. Check if the lens is compatible. We recommend Lumix lenses, especially 15mm or 25mm.
  2. Make sure the lens is properly installed. You should hear a click when it's secured.

Q5. Blurry image due to autofocus issues?

1) Check if there's any obstruction in front of the focus point (top, bottom, sides, or front).

2) Ensure the lens is correctly mounted—listen for a click sound.

3) If using the 15mm lens, make sure it's switched to AF (Auto Focus).

4) Try reinstalling the lens and check if the image sharpens.

5) Verify the surface material of the object isn't causing light reflection.

6) Connect to Compose App and check the firmware version.

Q6. Compose App on MacBook says firmware update is required when connecting S7?

Q7. No sound when connecting microphone to S7?

  1. Use a 3.5mm TRS-to-TRS audio cable to connect to the audio input on the back of the camera.
  2. For powered microphones, select LINE-IN in Compose App → Audio Settings.
  3. For passive microphones, select MIC-IN in Compose App → Audio Settings.

Q8. S7 indicator light blinking or red?

  1. Blinking light during startup is normal. It will turn solid green once fully powered on.
  2. A red light indicates the lens is not properly installed. Check the mount and ensure the lens is securely attached.
