Installation
Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference. If the appliance is sold, given away, or moved, ensure the manual is kept with the machine for the new owner's benefit. Read this manual carefully for important information regarding safe installation, use, and maintenance.
[Important Safety Note] If the appliance must be moved, keep it in an upright position; if absolutely necessary, it may be tilted onto its back.
This appliance is intended for household and similar applications, such as staff kitchen areas, farm houses, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast environments.
Positioning and Levelling
- Remove all packaging and check for transportation damage. Contact the retailer if damaged.
- Position the dishwasher so its sides or back panel are in contact with adjacent cabinets or the wall. It can also be recessed under a single worktop (refer to Assembly instruction sheet).
- Position the dishwasher on a level, sturdy floor. Adjust the front feet to ensure a horizontal position (angle of inclination not exceeding 2 degrees) for stability and to reduce vibration and noise.
- Adjust the height of the rear foot using an 8mm hexagonal spanner. Turn clockwise to increase height, anticlockwise to decrease height.
Anti-condensation strip: After installation, open the door and stick the adhesive transparent strip under the wooden shelf to protect it from condensation.
Advice Regarding the First Wash Cycle
Before the first wash cycle, completely fill the salt dispenser with water, then add approximately 1 kg of salt. Water may overflow, which is normal. Select the water hardness value. The LOW SALT indicator light will switch off after adding salt.
[Important Safety Note] If the salt container is not filled, the water softener and heating element may be damaged.

Electrical Connection
Ensure the dishwasher meets safety and electrical equipment regulations. Technical checks should only be conducted by trained technicians. Unauthorized repairs invalidate the guarantee and pose a hazard.
The manufacturer is not responsible for damage resulting from failure to observe precautions, tampering, or use of non-original parts.
Before plugging into the socket:
- Ensure the socket is earthed and complies with regulations.
- Verify the socket can withstand the appliance's maximum load (indicated on the data plate inside the door).
- Check the power supply voltage matches the data plate.
- Ensure the socket is compatible with the appliance plug. If not, have it replaced by an authorized technician. Do not use extension cables or multiple sockets.
[Important Safety Note] Once installed, the power supply cable and socket must be easily accessible. The cable should not be bent or compressed.
[Important Safety Note] If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or their Technical Assistance Service.
This appliance must be earthed. Fuses: The appliance is fitted with a 13A fuse. Use only 13A ASTA approved fuses (BS1362). Replace fuse covers immediately if lost. Ensure correct replacement by colour coding or plug base marking. Do not use the plug without the fuse cover fitted.
Changing the Plug
[Important Safety Note] Cut off and dispose of the supplied plug if it does not fit your socket. Do not insert the discarded plug into another socket.
Mains lead wire colours:
- Green/Yellow: Earth
- Blue: Neutral
- Brown: Live
If changing the plug, wire colours may not match terminal markings. If terminals are uncoloured, they may be marked: EARTH ('E'), NEUTRAL ('N'), LIVE ('L').
Changing the Mains Lead
A replacement lead can be ordered from Hotpoint Service (UK: 08709 066 066, Republic of Ireland: 1850 302 220). This work should be carried out by a qualified electrician. If domestic wiring includes a residual current-operated circuit breaker, ensure it conforms to the latest regulations.
[Important Safety Note] The dishwasher must not be connected to the electricity supply during installation. Connect only to a 230/240V AC source via a properly installed earthed socket. Use only in a domestic environment. Do not stand or place heavy objects on the open door, as this could cause damage or tip the appliance forward.
The Company is not responsible for incidents occurring if these regulations are not observed.
Connecting the Water Supplies
[Important Safety Note] Connection to water and electricity supplies should only be performed by a qualified technician. The dishwasher must not stand on top of water hoses or the electricity supply cable.
Connecting the Water Inlet Hose
Water inlet and outlet hoses and the electricity supply cable can be positioned left or right for optimal installation.
- Cold Water Connection: Before attaching the hose, run water until it is clear to remove impurities. Screw the inlet hose tightly onto a tap with a 3/4 gas threaded connection.
- Hot Water Connection: The dishwasher can use hot water from the mains supply (if central heating system with radiators is present), provided the temperature does not exceed 60°C. Screw the hose to the tap as described for cold water.
[Important Safety Note] If the inlet hose is too short, contact a specialist store or authorized technician. Water pressure must be within the values indicated in the Technical Data table. The hose must not be bent or compressed.
Use new hoses for connection. Ensure the new hose is connected and the old one is disposed of safely. Do not overtighten the hose connector; hand-tight is sufficient. Ensure the fill hose is not kinked.
Tap connections: Adaptors are available for different taps.
[Important Safety Note] Do not connect the dishwasher to a single outlet instantaneous water heater or an electric heater.
Sink Waste System
Connect the outlet hose (without bending) to a drain duct with a minimum diameter of 32 mm. The outlet hose height must be between 40-80 cm from the floor.
- Before connecting the drain hose, remove any internal restrictions to prevent blockages.
- Remove restrictions from the waste spigot and ensure the sealing bung is removed.
[Important Safety Note] It MUST NOT be connected to a surface water drain.
- Untie the GREY drainage hose from the rear of the appliance.
- If fitting an under-sink waste disposal unit, cut out the membrane, bung, or blanking plug.
Ensure the drain hose is securely attached to prevent leaks or flooding. Use a “Jubilee” type clip for secure fitting.
Anti-flooding Protection
The dishwasher has a system that blocks the water supply in case of anomalies or leaks. Some models have a supplementary safety device (New Acqua Stop) for anti-flooding protection, even in case of supply hose rupture.
[Warning: HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE!] Under no circumstances should the water inlet hose be cut, as it contains live electrical parts.
The Company is not responsible for incidents occurring if these regulations are not observed.

If a mistake was made during cycle selection, open the door carefully (avoiding steam), press and hold the ON/OFF button until the machine switches off. Switch it back on and select the new cycle. Start by closing the door.
Adding Extra Crockery
Without switching off, open the door carefully (avoiding steam) and add extra crockery. Close the door; the cycle will resume from where it was interrupted.
Accidental Interruptions
If the door is opened during a wash cycle or if there is a power cut, the cycle stops and resumes automatically once the door is closed or power is restored.
Measuring out the Detergent
Use the correct amount of detergent for optimal results and to prevent environmental pollution. Only use detergents specifically designed for dishwashers. Do not use washing-up liquid. Excessive detergent can cause foam residue.
Tablets are recommended only for models with the MULTI-FUNCTIONAL TABLETS option. For best results, use powder detergent, rinse aid, and salt.
Compartment A: Washing detergent
Compartment B: Pre-wash detergent
- Open cover C by pressing button D.
- Pour detergent according to the Wash Cycle table:
- For powder detergent, use compartments A and B.
- For tablets, place one in compartment A. If two are required, place the second at the bottom of the appliance.
- Remove any detergent residue from the compartment edges and close the cover until it clicks.
Wash Cycles
If crockery is lightly soiled or rinsed, reduce the detergent amount.
Wash Cycle Table:

Note: 1 tablespoon ≈ 15g powder ≈ 15ml liquid; 1 teaspoon ≈ 5g powder ≈ 5ml liquid.
* The Eco wash cycle adheres to EN-50242, using less energy and being less harmful to the environment, despite a longer duration.
Rinse Aid and Refined Salt
Only use products specifically designed for dishwashers. Do not use table salt, industrial salt, or washing-up liquid. Follow product packaging instructions.
If using multi-functional products, rinse aid may not be necessary, but salt is recommended, especially in hard water areas. If salt or rinse aid is not added, the LOW SALT and LOW RINSE AID indicator lights will remain lit.
Measuring out the Rinse Aid
Rinse aid aids drying and prevents streaks. Fill the dispenser when the LOW RINSE AID indicator light is illuminated.
- Open the dispenser lid (G) by turning anticlockwise.
- Pour in rinse aid, avoiding overflow. Clean spills immediately with a dry cloth.
- Screw the lid back on.
[Important Safety Note] NEVER pour rinse aid directly into the appliance tub.
Adjusting the Amount of Rinse Aid
If drying results are unsatisfactory, adjust the rinse aid dosage using a screwdriver on adjuster (F) (6 positions, default is 4):
- For streaks: set to a lower number (1-3).
- For water drops or limescale marks: set to a higher number (4-6).
Setting the Water Hardness
The dishwasher has a water softener that uses refined salt to supply limescale-free water. Set the softener according to your local water hardness for optimal performance and reduced pollution.
To set water hardness:
- Open the door and press the ON/OFF button.
- Press and hold the 'P' button for approximately 5 seconds. Two short beeps will sound, and the indicator light for the set hardness level will flash slowly (default is level 2).
- Press the 'P' button repeatedly to select the desired level (1-5*). Refer to the Water Hardness Table.
- To exit, wait a few seconds or press another button, or switch off the appliance.
Even with multi-functional tablets, the salt dispenser should be filled.
Water Hardness Table:
°dH | °fH | mmol/l | Level |
---|---|---|---|
0 - 11 | 0 - 20 | 1.1 | 1 |
12 - 17 | 21 - 30 | 2.1 | 2 |
17 - 34 | 31 - 60 | 3.1 | 3 |
34 - 50 | 61 - 90 | 6.1 | 4* |
For values between 0°f and 10°f, salt use is not recommended.
* This setting may slightly increase cycle duration.
(°dH = German degrees, °f = French degrees, mmol/l = millimoles per litre)
Measuring out the Refined Salt
Ensure the salt dispenser is never empty. Refined salt removes limescale. The dispenser is in the lower part of the dishwasher.
Fill the dispenser when the green float is not visible or the LOW SALT indicator light is illuminated.
- Remove the lower rack and unscrew the salt container cap anticlockwise.
- First time use: fill the water tank to the brim.
- Position the funnel and fill the salt container to the brim (approx. 1 kg). Some water leakage is normal.
- Remove the funnel, wipe any salt residue from the opening. Rinse the cap under running water and screw it on with the head facing downwards, allowing water to drain from the cap's cracks.
It is advisable to repeat this procedure every time you add salt. Ensure the cap is tightly screwed to prevent detergent from entering the softener, which could cause irreparable damage.
[Important Safety Note] When necessary, add salt before a wash cycle to remove any saline solution that may have leaked.
Care and Maintenance
Shutting off the Water and Electricity Supplies
- Turn off the water tap after every wash cycle to avoid leaks.
- Always unplug the appliance when cleaning or performing maintenance.
Cleaning the Dishwasher

Preventing Unpleasant Odours
- Keep the appliance door ajar to prevent moisture buildup.
- Regularly clean door seals and detergent dispensers with a damp sponge to prevent food trapping.
Cleaning the Sprayer Arms
Food residue can block sprayer arm holes. Periodically check and clean the arms with a small non-metallic brush.
To remove the upper sprayer arm: Rotate the locking ring anticlockwise. Replace with holes facing upwards.
To remove the lower sprayer arm: Press the side tabs and pull upwards.
Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter
[Important Safety Note] If water hoses are new or have been unused for a long time, run water until clear before connecting to prevent blockages.
Regularly clean the water inlet filter at the tap outlet.
- Turn off the water tap.
- Unscrew the water inlet hose end, remove the filter, and clean it under running water.
- Replace the filter and screw the hose back on.
Cleaning the Filters
The filter assembly (three filters) removes food residues. Clean regularly for best results. The dishwasher must not be used without filters or with a loose filter.
- After several washes, check and clean the filter assembly under running water with a non-metallic brush.
- Turn the cylindrical filter (C) anticlockwise and pull it out.
- Remove the cup filter (B) by pressing the side flaps.
- Slide out the plate filter (A).
