DocumentDocumentUSER GUIDE Radon Detector Library Lending Program Health Canada recommends long term testing of at least 91 days, but for screening purposes a minimum short term lending period of 28 days will provide an indication of radon levels in the home. Device Instructions 1 Using a paper clip or pen, press the RESET button. 2 The display will read CAL and countdown. The display will flash with no numbers for the first 24 hours. Placement 3 Select a room on the lowest level (basement or 1st floor) where you spend at least 4 hours per day level (e.g., office, family room or bedroom). 4 This monitor is for indoor use only. Place on a flat surface such as a desk, table, bookcase, or shelf. Place in a room with below 85% relative humidity. Leave undisturbed during testing period. DO NOT place in direct sunlight. DO NOT place in a bathroom, kitchen, laundry room or furnace room. airthings.com Results Above 200 Bq/m3: 5 If the long-term results exceed Health Canada's recommended guideline of 200 Bq/m3, take the steps to reduce your exposure to radon.
