Thank You

Thank you for choosing the sE Electronics DM2. Based on the acclaimed DM1 inline preamp, the DM2's sophisticated design with switchable gain and load allows users to get the best out of their microphones. It is intended for direct connection to the output of a passive ribbon or dynamic microphone and does not require an extra cable. Its convenient compact size makes it travel-friendly.

Important Note: The DM2 requires Phantom power for operation but does not work with microphones that also require Phantom power, such as condenser microphones or active ribbon microphones.

GAIN and LOAD Switch

A miniature screwdriver is required to change the DM2's gain or load settings.

The DM2's ultra-high input impedance reduces load on passive microphones. Its eight load settings range from very low (50Ω) to very high (10 MΩ), allowing users to alter the sound character of their microphones and find their sweet spot with ease.

The DM2's Gain switch changes its boost value between +15 dB and +30 dB.

Powering

To ensure proper operation, the DM2 requires a Phantom power source that provides 48 Volts according to IEC 61938.

Warning: ⚠ Do not connect the DM2 to any power supply other than a Phantom power source (input with Phantom power or external IEC standard Phantom power supply) with a floating connector, using a balanced cable with studio-grade connectors to IEC 268-12 only. This is the only way to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Safety and Maintenance

Warning: ⚠ Please make sure that any piece of equipment to which your DM2 will be connected fulfills the safety regulations enforced in your country and is fitted with a ground lead.

This product conforms to the standards listed in the Declaration of Conformity. Technical data subject to change without notice.
