INITIAL CLEANING AFTER INSTALLATION Remove any loose dirt or grit by sweeping or vacuuming. Wash the floor with cool to lukewarm water using a suitable cleaner in accordance with instruc>ons. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE Always protect floors when moving heavy objects to prevent permanent scratches and tears. Use appropriate wide floor protectors under tables, chairs, and any other heavy home furnishing to avoid permanent damage. Do not drag or slide heavy items across the floor. Entrance mats should be used to absorb soil and moisture. Use mats without latex or rubber backings to avoid possible discolora>on. Always use non-staining area rugs and mats. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE Spot clean any marks with a suitable cleaner in accordance with instruc>ons. Daily removal of dirt and dust is important to prevent par>cles from abrading the surface of resilient floors. Regular sweeping, dust mopping, and vacuuming are recommended to remove soil par>cles that can result in scratches and worn appearances. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cleaning agents as these can leave dull residues on the surface of the floors. Absorb wet spills as quickly as possible by bloLng with white paper or cloth towels. Rinse with water if necessary and blot dry. It is a good idea to save a few planks in case of accidental damage. Planks can be replaced or repaired by a flooring professional. RESTORATIVE MAINTENANCE Strip the floor by mixing Erazer by Peerless Jal with clean warm water in accordance with instruc>ons on the label; generously spread the floor stripping solu>on over the area with a mop. Allow about 5 minutes for the solu>on to work and before it dries, scrub the floor with a floor stripping pad and remove the old seal. Rinse the floor 2 to 3 >mes with warm fresh water making sure all the old seal is removed and the floor is clean and let to dry. Apply a thin even coat of Gemini or Gemini Sa>n Erazer by Peerless Jal across the flooring using an applicator or a polycoSon mop, allowing for the floor to dry before applying the next coat. Apply a second coat perpendicular to the first coat and allow to dry. TROUBLE SHOOTING Spot cleaning can remove light scuff marks. Heavy scuff marks may require restora>ve maintenance. Preventa>ve maintenance should be followed to assist in avoiding scratching. Minor scratching may be restored by following the restora>ve maintenance instruc>ons. However, replacement of individual plank(s) may be required for deep scratching or gouges. COMMERCIAL CLEANING Spray Buffing can be used for light soil removal for small to medium size areas and removal of most scuff marks for all floor sizes. For heavy soiling, perform a pre-wash by preparing diluted Strobe by Peerless Jal in accordance with instruc>ons. Apply a fine mist of diluted solu>on of Sleek 50 by Peerless Jal to the area of approximately 2m2 at a >me. Use a rotary buffing machine with a pad no more abrasive than a red 3m or equivalent. Work in overlapping parallel passes un>l floor is clean and dry. Allow floor area to dry. Scrubber Drying is suitable for large areas or major commercial spaces for soil removal and some scuff marks. Prepare a solu>on of Strobe by Peerless Jal and pour into tank. Scrub en>re floor area in overlapping parallel passes. Ensure vacuum is opera>ng efficiently.
