Shower Door Care & Cleaning
These tips will keep your shower door clean and pristine:
Recommended Cleaning Practices
- After showering: Use a high-quality squeegee on the glass surface to remove water.
- Drying the glass: After showering, wipe the glass dry with a soft microfiber cloth, especially in hard water areas or for soap deposits.
- Regular cleaning: Periodically wipe with mild soapy water to maintain the mirror and aluminum parts.
- Avoid abrasions: Avoid abrasive materials, sharp tools, or strong bleach on metal or glass surfaces.
For regular cleaning, use only mild detergents or warm, soapy water. Use non-abrasive cloths or sponges. Always rinse surfaces after cleaning. Before using any cleaning products on this product, test a small, inconspicuous area first.
Caution: Chemicals to Avoid
The manufacturer advises against using cleaning products with certain chemicals to avoid discoloration and warranty voidance:
- Naphtha
- Hydrogen peroxide solution (common household peroxide)
- Toluene
- Ethyl acetate
- Lye (common in drain cleaners)
- Acetone
Handling During Installation
When removing and installing the glass, try to avoid letting the edges of the glass come into contact with hard objects to prevent the entire glass from shattering and causing injury to you.
