Atmosphere Circuit Diagram
This document outlines the circuit design for the Atmosphere project, detailing the interconnection of key electronic components.
Component Overview
The circuit features the following primary components:
- U10 (SCD41-D-R2): A sensor responsible for detecting atmospheric conditions. It interfaces with the microcontroller via I2C communication (SCL, SDA) and requires power (VDD, GND) and a reset signal (RES).
- U7 (ESP32-WROOM-32): A microcontroller unit that processes sensor data and controls other components. It communicates with the SCD41 sensor and the OLED display. It has various pins for input/output, including GPIOs, SPI interfaces (SCS/CMD, SCK/CLK, SDI/SD1, SDO/SDO), and power (3.3V, GND).
- U9 (OLED_SSD1309 128X64_SPI): A 128x64 pixel SPI OLED display used for outputting information. It connects to the ESP32 via SPI (DC, CS, SCL, SDA) and requires power (VCC, GND).
- U6 (TLV61070ADBV): A power management IC, likely a boost converter, used in conjunction with a battery. It takes battery input (B-, B+) and provides regulated output (VIN, SW, VOUT).
- BT2 (Battery_Cell): Represents the battery source for the device.
Circuit Connections
The diagram illustrates the following key connections:
- The SCD41 sensor (U10) is connected to the ESP32 (U7) for I2C communication (SCL and SDA pins).
- The ESP32 (U7) is also connected to the OLED display (U9) via an SPI interface.
- Power management (U6) is connected to the battery (BT2) and supplies power to various parts of the circuit, including the ESP32 and potentially the sensor and display.
- Specific GPIO pins on the ESP32 are utilized for sensor and display communication, indicated by pin numbers and signal names. For instance, sensor inputs like SENSOR_VN and SENSOR_VP are connected to specific ESP32 GPIOs.
- The USB-C 4056 module is part of the power management system, likely handling charging and power input.
