FURUNO AIS

FA-100/R:

Although the rollover does not affect the communication function, the dates of the AIS internal system (internal GPS, display of own ship dynamic data, logs transmitting and receiving messages, alarm logs, and power ON/OFF logs) are incorrect. Retrofit with new model is recommended.

FA-150:

Software update is required to postpone the rollover date to 16/07/2039. More details on summary table No. 3.

FA-170:

Countermeasure software will be available soon.

FURUNO GPS

GP-80 and GP-90:

Rollover date depends from the GPS module installed. Software update is not planned for those units. Retrofit with new model* is recommended.

*Units having GPS core module GN-8091 can be upgraded with GPS core module GN-8096D (p/n: 00015095715), postponing the rollover date to 02/01/2022.

GP-150 and GP-150DUAL:

Software update is required to postpone the rollover date to 31/12/2052. See details on summary table No.4.

GP-170:

Rollover will never happen with a special processing by software.
