June 12, 2025 – Bose is proud to present the next generation of its acclaimed noise-cancelling earbuds: the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen.). As Bose's flagship earbuds, the new QC Ultra Earbuds once again offer the proven features of the QuietComfort line – first-class noise cancelling, high-quality sound reproduction, and legendary comfort and stability. At the same time, they impress with a range of innovative updates that elevate the listening experience to the next level: improved adaptive noise cancelling, optimized voice capture, and wireless charging.
The next generation of QC Ultra Earbuds is available in Black, White, and the limited edition Deep Purple. The earbuds can be pre-ordered now on Bose.de for €299. The planned release date is June 26th.
Adaptive Noise Cancelling and Voice Capture – Now Even Better
Like the previous model, the new QC Ultra Earbuds feature Bose's exclusive CustomTune audio calibration. This precisely adjusts the sound performance and noise cancelling to the unique anatomy of the ear and the surrounding environment. An updated algorithm optimizes the ActiveSense experience in Aware Mode. The optimized adaptive noise cancelling seamlessly reacts to sudden background noise. Whether it's a passing train or the siren of an emergency vehicle, transitions are now smoother than ever, allowing audio content to be experienced as it should be heard.
For unparalleled clarity during phone calls, a new AI-powered noise suppression system ensures exceptional voice quality. Combined with the eight integrated microphones, dynamic sound mixing, and the earbuds' adaptive filters, optimal voice capture is guaranteed. Thanks to Bose's Audio Augmentation technology, originally developed for hearing aids, the earbuds effectively reduce distracting ambient noise such as wind or whispers. The speaker's voice is always heard with crystal clarity – regardless of whether one or both earbuds are worn.
Secure Fit, Optimal Wearing Comfort
In addition to the usual secure fit and highest wearing comfort, the new QC Ultra Earbuds feature subtle design updates. The ear tips are now equipped with a grille that protects the earbuds from earwax. This significantly simplifies cleaning after prolonged use – for better sound and a longer lifespan.
Wireless Charging and Extended Battery Life
The new QC Ultra Earbuds now support wireless charging. Users can simply place the case on the center of a wireless charger using the button on the back. A full charge of the earbuds provides up to six hours of battery life (or four hours with 360-degree sound activated). The USB-C charging case provides up to three full recharges. If the battery is depleted, a 20-minute quick charge provides up to two hours of audio playback (without 360-degree sound).
For those who tend to accidentally operate the earbuds when adjusting them or brushing their hair: the touch-sensor control can now be completely deactivated in the Bose App.
The Bose App: Comprehensive Connectivity and Codec Support
With the Bose App, the QC Ultra Earbuds can be personalized according to your preferences. The app automatically downloads and installs firmware updates to keep the earbuds always up-to-date. Users also gain access to additional features, such as custom modes, adjustable EQ, Bluetooth connections, earbud and case battery level display, individual shortcuts, and much more.
The QC Ultra Earbuds continue to support Bluetooth® Core 5.3 Multipoint Connectivity, allowing the earbuds to be connected to two source devices simultaneously. They also support the "Low Complexity Subband Coding (SBC)" and "Advanced Audio Coding (AAC)" codec standards, making them compatible with almost all Bluetooth® streaming devices. Qualcomm's high-resolution aptX Adaptive Audio codec is also supported. This automatically adapts to lossless audio and low latency when using devices certified for Snapdragon Sound. Android users also benefit from Google Fast Pair – a practical technology developed by Google that enables simple and fast pairing with the earbuds.
