Installation
! Please ensure the main power switch is turned off before installation!
After the device powers on, all conductors (including the antenna) may be connected to strong electricity. Ensure the product is installed in a protective environment inaccessible to hands, such as a switch pattress or a protective bulb cover.
Recommended stripping length for terminal wiring: 6~8 mm.
1. Connect the wires according to the requirements using one of the following methods:
Method 1: Connect L1 to the load wire. Connect S0 and S1 to the two ends of the external switch respectively. Connect L to the live wire (refer to Diagram 1).
Diagram 1 Description: Shows the module with terminals L, N, L1, S0, S1. L and N are connected to the power source. L1 is connected to a light bulb. S0 and S1 are connected to an external switch, which is in series with the light bulb.
Method 2: Connect L1 to the load wire. Connect one end of the external switch to S0, and the other end to the live wire. Connect L to the live wire (refer to Diagram 2). If a dual-control switch is used, the end of the original switch connected to the load wire can be connected to S0 for external dual control (refer to Diagram 3).
Diagram 2 Description: Similar to Diagram 1, but the external switch is connected between the live wire and S0.
Diagram 3 Description: Illustrates a dual-control setup where the original switch's load connection is rerouted to S0 for controlling the module.
- The maximum conductor cross-sectional area is 2.5mm².
- If no external switch is connected, S0 and S1 can be left idle; the device can be controlled via automation or the app.
2. Embed the single switch module securely within the device (e.g., pendant lamp or switch pattress) to prevent accidental touch.
Diagram Description: Shows the module installed inside a wall box, with wires connecting to an external wall switch.
3. Securely position the antenna.
- The antenna's inner conductor carries strong electricity. Avoid placing it where it can be touched during daily use. If damaged, do not touch it; replace or repair it promptly.
- When installing the control module in a switch pattress, it is recommended to attach the antenna to the sidewall of the plastic pattress, keeping it parallel to the wall. If the switch panel bracket is plastic, position the antenna no more than 10mm from the wall. If the switch panel bracket is metal, position the antenna more than 15mm from the wall.
- If installed in a metal pattress, attach the antenna inside the plastic switch panel, ensuring sufficient space.
- Position the antenna to avoid metal objects, wires, and the module itself. If installed in a ceiling or light fixture, minimize shielding.
- Do not squeeze, bend, or pull the antenna forcefully to prevent damage.
4. Turn on the main power switch. Press the button on the module or the external switch. If the device operates normally (turns on/off), it is functioning correctly.
Quick Setup
1. Before activating the accessory, ensure the Aqara Home app is downloaded and an Aqara Hub is installed.
2. Open the Aqara Home app, tap "Home", then tap "+" in the top right corner to access the "Add Device (Accessory)" page. Select "Single Switch Module T1 (No Neutral)" and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If the connection fails, move the Hub closer to the Single Switch Module T1 (No Neutral) and try again.
Effective Range Test: Quickly press the push button on the accessory 3 times. If the Hub provides voice prompts, the accessory is communicating effectively.
