This document provides operating instructions for the Anko Clock Radio with White Noise, Model 42976622. The device features a clock, white noise generator, FM radio, and a multi-color light panel.

Kmart Australia Ltd warrants your new product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase, provided it is used in accordance with accompanying recommendations or instructions. Operating Instructions

Function Overview

The device features several control buttons and a light panel:

  • 1 LCD Display: Shows time, alarm status, mode, and settings.
  • 2 Mode Button: Cycles through the device modes (Clock, White Noise, FM Radio).
  • 3 Set Button: Used for setting time, alarms, and navigating menus.
  • 4 Up/Light Button: Adjusts settings upwards or controls light brightness/color.
  • 5 Down/Alarm Button: Adjusts settings downwards, turns the alarm on/off, or activates snooze.
  • 6 Lighting Touch Control: Located on the back of the light panel; touch to turn the light on/off or snooze the alarm.
  • 7 Battery Compartment: Located at the rear, for backup power.
  • 8 Light Panel: The front panel that emits light.

How to Use This Product

Mode Button: By default, the product is in clock mode. Press the MODE button to cycle through the modes: Clock ➔ White Noise ➔ FM Radio ➔ Clock.

Set Button:

  • In Clock mode: Press and hold the SET button for 2 seconds until "12H" or "24H" flashes on the LCD. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to select the desired time format (12-hour or 24-hour). Press SET again to cycle through setting the hour, minute, alarm hour, alarm minute, and alarm sound. Press SET to confirm each setting.
  • In FM mode: Press the SET button to tune to the next available FM channel.
  • In White Noise Mode: Press the SET button to enter the White Noise Volume adjustment.

Lighting Touch Control:

  • In any mode: Touch the control area on the back of the light panel to turn the light ON or OFF.
  • When the alarm sounds: Press the light touch control area to snooze the alarm for 5 minutes. A snooze symbol will appear and flash on the LCD display.

Note: The light can be turned on in all modes. Brightness and color adjustments are primarily done in Clock mode.

Time and Alarm Setting

Default Device State: The device defaults to a 12-hour display with the AM symbol appearing at 12:00. The light panel is set to 50% brightness, and the alarm is off with an alarm time of 6:00 AM. Upon initial power-on, the LCD displays a full screen and emits a bird sound.

Setting Time and Alarm:

  1. In Clock mode, press and hold the SET button to enter the time setting sequence.
  2. The sequence is: 12/24hr format selection ➔ Hour setting ➔ Minute setting ➔ Alarm hour setting ➔ Alarm minute setting ➔ Alarm sound selection (choose from 10 white noise options or FM radio) ➔ Return to clock display.
  3. The item to be set will flash on the LCD. Use the UP/LIGHT or DOWN/ALARM buttons to change the value.
  4. Press the SET button to confirm the current setting and move to the next item.
  5. If no operation is performed for 15 seconds, the device will exit the setting mode and save the current values.

Turning Alarm On/Off:

  • Under Clock mode, press the DOWN/ALARM button to cycle through alarm states: Alarm ON ➔ Alarm OFF.

Alarm Functionality:

  • When the alarm sounds, press the DOWN/ALARM button to turn the alarm off.
  • Alternatively, press the light touch control area to enter snooze mode (alarm will sound again after 5 minutes).
  • If any other button is pressed while the alarm is sounding, the alarm will turn off.
  • If no operation is performed when the alarm sounds, the alarm will last for 5 minutes and then automatically turn off. The lights will also turn off. If the alarm sound is set to FM radio, it will remain on after the 5 minutes.

Notes on Light Activation with Alarm:

  • If the light panel is off and the alarm is set for more than 20 minutes in the future, the light panel will gradually turn on 20 minutes before the alarm time.
  • If the alarm time is set within 20 minutes, the light panel will turn on to full brightness immediately when the alarm sounds.

LCD Display Backlight

  • When powered by batteries: Press the UP/LIGHT button to turn on the LCD display backlight for 15 seconds.
  • When powered by the USB Cable: The LCD display backlight will remain ON continuously.

Light Effect

  • Touch the light control area to turn the light ON or OFF in any mode.
  • The default light color is warm white with 50% brightness. The device will retain the last used light settings (color and brightness) before it was turned off.
  • When the light is on, press the SET button to cycle through available light colors: warm white, red, yellow, green, blue, purple, light blue, and white.
  • In the circular light display mode, each color will remain visible for 10 seconds before gradually transitioning to the next color in the sequence.
  • Use the UP/LIGHT or DOWN/ALARM buttons to adjust the light brightness in increments of 10%, ranging from 10% to 100% or vice versa.

Note: It is recommended to set the light color and brightness while in Clock mode. If you are in White Noise or FM Radio mode, exit to Clock mode first.

White Noise Mode

  • From Clock mode, press the MODE button to enter White Noise mode.
  • The default setting is Music 1, with a play time of 10 minutes.
  • Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the previous or next white noise track.
  • Press the SET button to adjust the volume. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to set the volume between V:01 and V:03. Press SET again to return to the music selection screen.

FM Radio

  • From the time display interface, press the MODE button twice to enter FM Radio mode. Press MODE again to exit Radio mode.
  • When you enter Radio mode again, it automatically plays the last tuned channel.
  • In Radio mode, press the SET button to automatically scan and tune to the next available FM channel.
  • Use the UP or DOWN buttons to increase or decrease the radio volume. The volume level is displayed on the LCD in the alarm minute position. The default volume is 10, with a range from 00 to 15.

Radio and White Noise Sound Play Conflict

  • If the radio is playing and the alarm is set to use the radio function, the radio will continue to play, and the alarm symbol will flash on the screen.
  • If white noise is playing and the alarm is set to white noise, but the radio is also playing: The device will exit radio playback and switch to playing the white noise for the alarm. The alarm symbol will flash on the screen.
