Tuya BOT Series Boiler Thermostat
This document provides instructions for the Tuya BOT Series Boiler Thermostats, including models BOT-W306 and BOT306RF-WIFI. These thermostats are designed for controlling boilers and other heating systems, offering features like programmable schedules, Wi-Fi connectivity, and app control.
I. Product Overview
The BOT Series thermostats feature a large LCD digital display and are designed for ease of use with comprehensive functions. They can control boilers, motorized ball valves, motorized valves, electric valves, and solenoid valves. The series includes both wired and wireless models.

III. Main Button Instructions
- : ON/OFF Switch
- ✔: Mode Button. Switches between Manual Mode, Automatic Period Control Mode, and Temporary Manual Mode. Press and hold to enter period settings.
- : Time Setting. Sets hours, minutes, and week.
- : Up Button. Increases temperature. Press with [mode] to set programmable function.
- : Down Button. Decreases temperature. Press with [mode] to set programmable function.
- : Key Lock. Press and hold for 5 seconds to lock or unlock.
IV. User Interface Explanation
- Frost Protection Icon: Indicates frost protection status.
- RF WiFi Icon: Indicates Wi-Fi connection status.
- Heating Icon: Indicates heating status.
- Child Lock Icon: Indicates child lock status.
- Room Temp Display: Shows the current room temperature.
- 7 Days / Work Days: Indicates the programmable schedule mode (7-day or 5+2 day).
- Manual Mode Icon: Indicates manual control mode.

VI. Operating Instructions
Time Setting
Press the time button. The time area will display minutes, hours, and week. Use the [up] or [down] buttons to adjust the time.
Programmable Period Temperature Setting
This thermostat supports 6 periods per day and a 7-day weekly cycle. Users can choose between 5+2, 6+1, or 7+0 day control modes.
- After powering on, press and hold the [mode] button for 5 seconds to enter the period program.
- Press the [time] button. The time for the current period will flash, allowing you to set the time.
- Press the [time] button again. The room temperature display will show the weekly cycle and flash, allowing you to set the temperature for this period.
- Press the [time] button again to set the temperature and time for the next period using the same method.
Weekly Cycle Control:
- Press and hold the [time] button: Displays 'LOOp'. Press again to cycle through 12345 (Mon-Fri), 123456 (Mon-Sat), 1234567 (Mon-Sun).
- Setting Time and Temperature: Once the weekly cycle is selected, press the [time] button to enter time settings and the [up]/[down] buttons to adjust. Press the [mode] button to enter temperature settings and use [up]/[down] to adjust. Use [time] or [mode] to save.
Temporary Manual Control: If the thermostat is in automatic mode and the user adjusts the temperature using the [up] or [down] buttons, it enters temporary manual control. The thermostat will revert to the scheduled program at the start of the next period.

Note: Default temperatures for periods 3 and 4 on weekdays are the same as period 2. If the set temperature is 00, the period is off.
VII. Advanced Settings
In power-off state, press and hold the [time] button, then press the [power] button to enter advanced settings. Use the [up] or [down] buttons to navigate and select parameters.

VIII. Wiring Diagram
The thermostat can be wall-mounted or placed on a table. Ensure correct wiring using rigid wires (1.5-2.5mm²). Avoid water, mud, or debris entering the thermostat.
- NO: Normally Open Interface (for boiler or load)
- COM: Common Interface (for boiler or external power supply)
- NC: Normally Closed Interface (for boiler or load)
IX. Installation Instructions
Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charger. The thermostat can be mounted on the wall or placed on a table using the provided bracket and cable.
X. Setting the Sequence Number
Each thermostat has a paired receiver. If installation mixes up units, the sequence number can be set manually.
A. Automatic RF Code Configuration and Display
Press and hold the [time] button for 10 seconds, then press the [power] button. Press the [up] or [down] buttons to select parameters. Press the [S2] button briefly to confirm. The LCD backlight will stop flashing upon successful configuration.
B. Manual RF Code Configuration and Display
- In Advanced Settings, set SNP to 01.
- Set the sequence number (SN) by pressing the [power] button in the power-off state, then the [time] button, and then the [mode] button to enter parameter settings.
- After SN1 appears, use the [up] or [down] buttons to modify the number. SN2-SN6 will appear sequentially.
- Ensure the CHK code matches the barcode for correct configuration.
VAC: Controls valve positions 1-8. Default is 01. This setting is mainly for controlling a Wireless Central Controller; for boiler control, it should remain 01.
XI. Phone App Operation Instructions
1. Install the App
Download 'Smart Life' or 'Tuya Smart' from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Alternatively, scan the provided QR code.
2. Connecting the Thermostat with Your Phone
- Open the 'Smart Life' or 'Tuya Smart' app. Log in or register.
- When the thermostat's Wi-Fi icon flashes rapidly, add the device in the app.
- If your phone's Wi-Fi is on 5G, switch to 2.4G.
- Follow the app prompts to connect the thermostat. The Wi-Fi icon will flash during configuration and become solid upon successful connection.
App Interface and Control:
- Device Discovery: The app will search for and connect to the thermostat via Bluetooth.
- Temperature Setting: Adjust temperature by dragging the dial or using the +/- buttons.
- Period Setting: Configure daily schedules.
- Workday Setting: Choose between 5+2, 6+1, or 7-day program modes.
- Advanced Settings: Access further configuration options.
- Manual/Automatic Mode Switch: Toggle between modes using the [mode] button.
- Power On/Off: Use the [power] button to turn the thermostat on or off.
- Child Lock: Press the [lock] button to enable/disable screen lock.
Note on Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure your phone is on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, use a router name without spaces or Chinese symbols, and verify the Wi-Fi password. If connection fails, try AP mode or reset to factory settings.
