Installation Scenarios
Side-by-Side or Dryer Alone Installation
If the washer and dryer are installed together, or if the dryer is installed alone in a closet, the closet front must have two unobstructed air openings for a combined minimum total area of 72-inch². The washer, when installed alone, does not require a specific air opening.
Alcove or Closet Installation
Minimum Clearance: For alcove and closet installations, specific clearances are required. The diagrams indicate a recessed area depth of 21 inches. In confined side views, a depth of 21 inches is needed, with a width of 30 1/4 inches (including dryer clearance) and 1-inch clearance on each side. A depth clearance of 5 15/16 inches is also noted.
Connection Dimensions (Back View of Washer)
The back of the washer features water connections. The hot water connection is located approximately 15 1/4 inches from the top, and the cold water connection is approximately 12 15/16 inches from the top. The total height of the unit is 40 inches.
