Getting Started

Automatic Refilling

To add water automatically, connect the included hose to your home's water supply system. An adapter (not included) may be required depending on your system.

To avoid overflow, do not add water manually when the ice maker is already connected to the water supply system.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To keep your ice tasting fresh, it is recommended to perform self-cleaning at least once every 1 to 2 weeks.

Self-Cleaning

Regular Cleaning

To remove fallen dirt or fibers, it is recommended to clean the ice bin and water tank once a week. Unplug the unit before cleaning.

  1. Unplug and take out the ice bin. Remove the water filter from the right corner of the tank.
  2. Rinse the ice bin and water filter with diluted detergent and warm water.
  3. Clean the water tank with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth. Add water to rinse and then drain out the water.
  4. Gently wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.

Removal of Scale / Mineral Build-up

For scale or mineral build-up, follow these directions for deep cleaning periodically or when needed. Do not clean with solvents or chemicals.

  1. Fill the water tank with warm water (around 90°F / 32°C) below the MAX line or connect with the water supply system.
  2. Add distilled white vinegar or an ice maker cleaner. Let it sit for at least 18 hours.
  3. Hold the CLEAN button [Clean Button] for 3 seconds to start the self-cleaning cycle. If the indicator flashes, press the CLEAN button [Clean Button] to continue. Repeat for at least 3 cleaning cycles.
  4. Drain the mixture and continue running 3 cleaning cycles with fresh water for each rinse.

When not in use for an extended period of time, drain the water tank and clean as instructed. Cover and store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight.
