AT&T Approved Devices List

This document outlines devices tested and approved for the AT&T network, along with instructions on how to verify your device's compatibility.

How to Use This List

To ensure your device is supported on the AT&T network, it is crucial to use the exact model number listed. Many phones share marketing names but have different model numbers, affecting network compatibility.

Example: Galaxy S20 models G981U and G981U1 are approved for the AT&T network, while Galaxy S20 models G981N and G981O are not.

Software Updates: If your device is marked with an asterisk (*) and requires a software update for full functionality (e.g., HD Voice, Wi-Fi Calling), please ensure you have the latest version installed. You can find instructions for updating your device software via the AT&T eSupport Article.

Note: Devices not purchased directly from AT&T or an authorized AT&T retailer may not be guaranteed for full capabilities or performance on the AT&T network.

How to Determine Your Phone's Model Number

Some manufacturers print the model number on the outside of the phone, typically on the back. If your phone is not labeled externally, follow these instructions:

For iPhones®

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap About to view the model name and number.

For Androids®

  1. Navigate to Settings. You may need to access the System menu.
  2. Tap About Phone or About Device to view the model name and number.

For Other Phones

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Tap About Phone to view the model name and number.

Alternative Method (for some phones):

  1. Remove the back cover.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Look for the model number on a white label inside the phone.
