Analog CD changer in trunk/hatch
Introduction
Does your 1994-99 Mercedes have a working CD changer in trunk/hatch? If so, read on otherwise click here. The BTA-MBCD (formerly A2D-MBCD) Bluetooth module allows 1994-99 Mercedes vehicles equipped with a working CD changer in trunk or hatch to support music streaming and charging that also retains use of the CD changer The required CD changer remains connected and functional. The module connects to the radio behind the dash and allows users to enjoy audio content including Apple music, Pandora, audio books, GPS and more on the car speakers! When in the mood for tunes on CD; simply press the Play/Pause button on included wireless remote control. Thanks to the BTA-MBCD these proud Mercedes owners are able to keep factory radio and CD Changer and enjoy Bluetooth features only available on newer cars.

Fig. 18
4. Can I control Smartphone or Tablet from the radio buttons? NO; you must continue to use smart device built-in controls, touch screen or included wireless remote control.
5. The 10-pin plug on this adapter looks identical to other Mercedes, and Blaupunkt radios. Does the BTA-MBCD work on these radios? NO; (See Fig. 18) if radio has a digital port (fiber optic) it is NOT compatible.

7. What happens when streaming and a call comes in? Stream will mute and you may answer or decline call using the hand-set buttons/touch controls. Streaming resumes upon ending the call.
8. Can I pair or save more than one device to the BTA-MBCD? YES; more than one device (slave) can be paired however only one connection can be active at a time. When pairing new device, ensure module has not already connected to or is within range of another paired device.
9. I'm experimenting annoying engine noise (alternator whine that increases with engine speed) Is there a fix for this? Engine whine can be very annoying and hard to predict, but if unable to find the cause, we recommend installing our in-line BT63-NF noise filter (See Fig. 19) filter. This plug-n-play noise filter fits between the installation harness 16-pin plug and module 16-pin connector. Click here to purchase.
