With the Halo open, open the hook-and-loop tape at the bottom of the unit. 4 With your light mounted to a stand, place the Halo over top of your light by inserting the light through the bottom hook-and-loop tape. For Halo Mono, insert the front of your light through the back opening of the modifier. 5 Slide the Halo's umbrella shaft through the umbrella receptacle on your light. Tighten the umbrella tension screw onto the shaft. Do not over tighten. Setup is now complete for Halo Mono. Continue to Step 4 to complete the standard Halo setup. Secure the Halo by placing the tip of the umbrella shaft into the metal cup. Close the lower opening around the light stand using the hook-and-loop tape. Light mounted to a Halo Mono #2026 Micro ApolloTM Micro Apollo #2200 Included Components Micro Apollo Hook-and-Loop Tape Setup & Usage 1 2 MANUAL FLASH Attaching the Micro Apollo to a flash using your standard Manual flash settings will normally require raising the power setting, opening the aperture (wider), or adjusting the ISO upward by about one stop to accommodate the diffusion. TTL FLASH The camera system along with a compatible TTL flash unit should automatically adjust the flash output to compensate for the attachment of the Micro Apollo. A reduction of the maximum recorded output and therefore the effective range of the flash will result. AUTOMATIC FLASH Non-TTL flashes that utilize a "LIGHT SENSING EYE" on the flash for automatic exposures may need the flash housing adjusted using the tilting head to avoid having the Micro Apollo come between the "EYE" and the subject matter. If the Micro Apollo position inhibits the line of sight of the "EYE", you will need to use manual flash settings on the flash or a remote sensor designed for use with your flash. 3 Remove your speedlight from the camera. Do not attach the Micro Apollo while your flash is mounted to your camera. 4 Clean sides of your speedlight with rubbing alcohol. Cut the included self-adhering hook-and-loop tape in half and place on each side of your speedlight. For maximum adhesion, allow it to cure for 24 hours before attaching the Apollo. Place the Micro Apollo face down on a flat surface. Lift up one side arm and attach the swivel pad with the loop tape to the hook tape on the side of your speedlight. Repeat this step with the other side arm. 5 6 Adjust the Micro Apollo so it's evenly mounted on your speedlight and faces forward. Firmly press the swivel-pads against the sides of the speedlight to ensure attachment. Mount your speedlight with Micro Apollo onto your camera. Ensure the cloth cover is stretched tight and the elastic opening is closed around the speedlight. Adjustable Bracket Adjustable Shoe Mount Bracket #5015 Setup & Usage 1 2 3 Locate the tension knob at the base of the unit and unscrew fully. Place shoe mount bracket on top of light stand and screw tension knob to secure in place. To tilt, simply loosen the tension knob in the middle of the unit and tilt to your desired angle. Re-tighten the knob to secure in place. 4 At the top of the unit loosen the shoe mount tension knob to separate the shoe mount receptacle. Slide the speedlight onto the shoe mount and tighten fully to secure in place. Gently wiggle the unit in all directions to ensure the flash is fully tightened and attached to the shoe mount bracket. After the umbrella-based modifier is secure, insert the diffusion panel using the hook-and-loop tape. Close the bottom zipper opening around the light stand or boom arm.
