II. Battery Insertion and Replacement

1. Battery Insertion (Fig. 2)

Diagrams illustrate the correct insertion of AA batteries and an 18500 lithium battery into the battery compartment, showing polarity (+/-) and orientation. To insert batteries:

  1. Turn to detach the lower housing (14).
  2. Insert one 18500 lithium battery or two AA batteries.
  3. For 18500 lithium battery: insert with the + pole upward into the left holder.
  4. For AA batteries: insert one into the right holder with the - pole upward, and then insert another into the left holder with the + pole upward.

Ensure battery polarity is correct; otherwise, the transmitter may not turn on even with sufficient battery power.

Power off the device to conserve battery power. Remove batteries when not in use for extended periods.

4. Charging via USB Type-C

This device can charge only one ICR-18500 lithium battery via USB Type-C. Cautions during charging:

III. Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Push the power switch upward to turn on. The LCD panel glows when power is on. Push the power switch downward to turn off. Figures 3 and 4 show examples of the LCD panel displaying 'GRP - CH 01 - 01' and 'GR-CH-ID A 02-03', along with the SET, MODE, and Power buttons.

Figure 5 shows the LCD displaying 'OFF...' indicating the device is powering off.

2. Select Functions

Press the MODE button to select functions.

3. Change Parameters

Press the SET button; the parameter blinks. Press SET again to change the parameter.

4. Battery Level Status

Replace the battery when the level falls to 10%. The device will power off automatically with an "OFF" message when the power level is too low. Figure 6 displays battery level indicator icons showing full (100%), 80%, 60%, 40%, 20%, and low (10%) charge levels.

5. Prevent Accidental Power On/Off (ACT-800H / ACT-700H only)

To prevent accidental power off, switch the Power Switch Block Latch (6) to the left to block the power switch. Figure 7 illustrates the Power Switch Block Latch in its normal position and in the locked position.

IV. LCD and Operating Instructions

1. LCD Display (Fig. 8)

Figure 8 shows examples of LCD displays for different MIPRO ACT series models. The LCD displays various information indicated by numbers:

2. ACT-800H LCD (Fig. 9)

Figure 9 details the ACT-800H LCD display elements, which include:

(A) Group (GRP) / Channel (CH) / Frequency (FREQ.) (Fig. 10)

Figure 10 illustrates the 'GROUP / CHANNEL' and 'FREQUENCY' displays. Group / Channel / Frequency are synced from the receiver and cannot be changed on the transmitter. To change these settings, adjust them on the receiver and then press the ACT button to sync.

Regulatory frequency bands: NCC: 510~530MHz / 748~758MHz; FCC: 470~608MHz; CE: 470~789MHz / 823~832MHz.

(4) PC-set Channels

Figure 11 shows that when specific channels are set via PC, the screen displays only CHANNEL and numbers, e.g., 'GRP - CH * * - * *'.

(B) AF L-CUT: AF Low-Cut Setting (Fig. 12)

Figure 12 shows the AF L-CUT setting options. Select L-CUT or FLAT. L-CUT reduces frequency response at 100Hz by approximately 3dB with a slope of -6dB/Octave.

(C) AF LIMIT: Audio Input Limit Setting (Fig. 13)

Figure 13 shows the AF LIMIT setting options. Select YES or NO. YES limits the maximum output of the receiver to 1V.

(D) ENCRYPTION: Display Encryption Information (Fig. 14)

Figure 14 shows the ENCRYPT setting display ('ENCRYPT NO'). The ENCRYPTION function must be set on the receiver first, then use ACT to program the transmitter.

(E) RF POWER: RF Power Setting (Fig. 15)

Figure 15 shows the RF POWER setting options. Select HIGH or LOW. HIGH provides 50mW transmitting power, and LOW provides 10mW. Set appropriate power to meet region/country regulations.

(F) MUTE MODE: Mute Setting (Fig. 16)

Figure 16 shows the MUTE MODE setting options. Select MAN, AUTO, or DIS.

(G) Error Codes

The following error codes may appear:

3. ACT-240H / ACT-580H LCD (Fig. 19)

Figure 19 shows the ACT-240H / ACT-580H LCD displaying GR (Group) – CH (Channel) – ID (ID Code). These messages are displayed only and cannot be changed on the transmitter. To change Group / Channel / ID Code, adjust them on the receiver and press the ACT button to sync.

4. ACT-700H / ACT-500H / ACT-300H LCD (Fig. 20)

Figure 20 provides an overview of the ACT-700H / ACT-500H / ACT-300H LCD display elements, which include (Group/Channel) (Frequency) (RF Power) (Mute Mode).

(A) Group (GRP) / Channel (CH) / Frequency (FREQ.) (Fig. 21)

Figure 21 illustrates the 'GROUP / CHANNEL' and 'FREQUENCY' displays. Group / Channel / Frequency messages are displayed only and cannot be changed. To change, adjust on the receiver and press ACT button to sync.

Regulatory frequency bands: NCC: 510~530MHz / 748~758MHz; FCC: 470~608MHz; CE: 470~789MHz / 823~832MHz.

(4) PC-set Channels (Fig. 22)

Figure 22 shows that for specific channels set via PC, the screen displays only CHANNEL and numbers.

(B) RF POWER Setting (Fig. 23)

Figure 23 shows the RF POWER setting options. Select RF-HI or RF-LOW.

(C) MUTE MODE Setting (Fig. 24)

Figure 24 shows the MUTE MODE setting options. Select MANUAL or DISABLE. MANUAL uses the MUTE button to mute/unmute. DISABLE means the MUTE button is disabled.

(D) Error Codes

The following error codes may appear:

(E) MUTE Button (Fig. 25)

Figure 25 illustrates MUTE button operation. Press MUTE button to enter mute status (AF INPUT MUTE). Press MODE, SET buttons to select parameters. Idle for 5 seconds and return to MUTE mode. Press MUTE button again to unmute (AF INPUT UNMUTE). Unmute Mode shows UNMUTE for 1 second and returns to Home Screen. MUTE button is only workable under MANUAL mode.

V. Cautions

  1. Turn off to save battery life when not in use. Remove batteries for extended periods of non-use.
  2. To improve transmitting antenna efficiency, do not cover the rear housing section with hands.
  3. To prevent degraded sound quality, directionality, and feedback, do not cover the microphone grille with hands.
  4. Correct posture for holding the microphone is required, as distance from the mouth significantly impacts sensitivity and sound quality.
  5. Keep the microphone grille clean and unblocked to enhance pick-up sound quality.

VI. Notes

  1. Refer to the actual product in case of discrepancies with product descriptions.
  2. Frequency range, RF output power, and maximum deviation comply with regulations of different countries.
