Juno Trac fixtures traditionally offer phase-dimming compatibility for simple specification, installation, and operation. This approach ensures a consistent product portfolio and compatibility with renovation projects and upgrades.

The Challenge of 0-10V Dimming with Track Lighting

Many customers seek 0-10V dimming compatibility for Juno track systems to control track lighting alongside other luminaires. While 0-10V dimming offers smooth performance ideal for residential, retail, and multipurpose spaces, achieving it with track lighting can be complex. Traditional systems often require separate conductors for a control bus, leading to mechanically intricate connections and larger, more expensive track adapters. This complexity has resulted in reported frustrations and troubleshooting issues for specifiers, installers, and end-users. Some manufacturers have attempted to overlay control signals on power conductors, further increasing complexity and cost.

Our Solution: The EcoSpec® LDCM Module

Acuity Brands proposes a solution for 0-10V dimming that is designed to be less expensive, more reliable, and easier to install with a standard Juno track system. This solution utilizes the EcoSpec® LDCM 0-10V Dimming Control Module from ECOSENSE®, a company not affiliated with Acuity® or Juno® Trac.

This interface device accepts a 0-10V dimming control input and outputs a corresponding reverse phase-dimmed power, enabling 0-10V control systems to manage phase-dimmable fixtures.

EcoSpec® LDCM 0-10V Dimming Control Module

The EcoSpec® LDCM 0-10V module is an excellent solution for 0-10V dimming of basic 2-wire (line & neutral) track systems using LED or incandescent fixtures. It attaches to a junction box and is wired to the end feed of a Juno track system.

Module Dimensions

The module is a rectangular box with approximate dimensions of 5.4 inches (138mm) in length, 3.4 inches (87mm) in width, and 2.0 inches (50mm) in height. It features a 1/2-14 NPS threaded conduit connector. Input power connections are labeled "110VAC-120VAC, 277VAC POWER IN" and "110VAC-120VAC, 277VAC + ELV DATA TO FIXTURE RUN". Output connections are labeled "0-10V DATA IN" and have corresponding purple (+) and grey (-) wires for the 0-10V signal.

Connections Diagram

The connection diagram illustrates wiring from a POWER source to a JUNCTION BOX. From the junction box, wires connect to the ECOSENSE module. The module has inputs for POWER and DATA, and outputs for DATA to the FIXTURE RUN. A separate 0-10VDC Dimmer is shown connected to the "0-10V DATA IN" ports of the module, with Purple wire for (+) and Grey wire for (-).

Alternative: Acuity nLight® Networked Controls

For a comprehensive networked control solution, Acuity Brands offers its nLight® system. This can be achieved by combining either the nPP PCD Phase Adaptive Power Pack for nLight wired systems or the rPP PCD Phase Adaptive Power Pack for nLight wireless systems with Juno Trac. This integration enables seamless networked system control with other nLight-enabled fixtures using a single control system.
