STEP 3

Locate the wiring bundle on the horizontal saddlebag support. Release the catch on the large black nylon cable tie securing the bundle to the saddlebag support and gently pull the wiring from the protective sheath. Unplug both pairs of blue connectors (PIC.2) and plug the adapter harness "inline" between them (PIC.3), or inline with an existing adapter harness on the blue connectors.

NOTE: If you have an existing Kuryakyn LED accessory light installed on the
rear of the motorcycle and do not want to install a second harness adapter, you may use Kuryakyn Part Number 7302, Multi Plug and Play harness with the existing harness adapter to gain the plug;in for the LED Rear Reflector Conversion.

PIC 2

ATTENTION! Küryakyn recommends the use of dielectric grease on electrical
connections.

STEP 4

Neatly package the wiring bundle and tuck it back into its protective sheath being sure to leave the red, white, and black pigtails exposed. Re9attach the stock black nylon cable tie to hold the bundle in place.

STEP 5 STEP 6

Use a wrench to remove the stock reflector from the rear fender.
Using a 7/32" drill bit, enlarge the existing indexing hole located just right of the mounting stud hole. This will allow clearance for the light's wiring.

PIC 3

STEP 7

Install the L.E.D. Rear Reflector Conversion assembly. When feeding the wiring through its hole take care not to damage the metal connectors crimped to the end of each wire. Secure the unit with the M5 nut and flat washer provided.

STEP 8

Put a dab of dielectric grease in the front end of the black nylon male connector and plug it into one of the pigtails coming from the adapter harness.

ATTENTION! Küryakyn recommends the use of dielectric grease on electrical connections.

STEP 9

Support the rear fender so that the wires easily reach the adapter harness (PIC.4). Insert the wires into the exposed end of the male connector you just installed in the pigtail. Be careful to match red to red, black to black, and white to white (PIC.5). Check each wire to make sure it is secure; if any did not "latch" when inserted, carefully bend the metal connector's lock tab up slightly so it will catch when inserted into the male connector.

PIC 4

STEP 10

Secure the wire from the L.E.D. Reflector Conversion with the nylon cable ties provided to prevent contact with the rear tire.

ATTENTION! Secure all wiring away from any moving parts, pinch points or extreme
heat. Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any electrical component that fails due to pinched, crimped, broken, abraded, melted or frayed wires.

STEP 11

Snap the rear fender back in place and reinstall the four (five if an older model) fasteners removed in Step 2. The fastener with the longest threads (if an older model) belongs in the center location.

PIC 5

STEP 12

Reinstall the license plate. Reconnect the battery, test all lights.

WARNING!

ENSURE PROPER LIGHT OPERATION BEFORE RIDING THE MOTORCYCLE. VISIBILITY IS A MAJOR CONCERN FOR MOTORCYCLISTS. A LIGHTING MALFUNCTION COULD RESULT IN DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY.

ATTENTION! It is the installer's responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners
(including pre;assembled) are tightened before operation of the motorcycle. Küryakyn will not issue a warranty on components lost due to improper installation. Periodic maintenance may be required.
Ride On!
