1. Installation Overview
An overview of the installation process is provided.
2. Preparing Door
Prepare the door according to the provided template. Skip this step if the door has pre-drilled holes.
3. Install Latch and Strike Plate
Install the enclosed latch and strike plate. Ensure the deadbolt latch is retracted during installation. Adjust the backset to 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" as needed.
4. Install Exterior Assembly
Secure the mounting plate to the door. Attach the exterior assembly, ensuring the tailpiece goes through the deadbolt latch set in the vertical position. Route the control wire through the door under the deadbolt latch set. Check that the rubber gasket is secured on the exterior assembly.
5. Install Interior Assembly
Work with the door open. Carefully insert the control wire into the wire connector. Ensure the connector aligns with the control wire. Secure the interior assembly.
6. Install Interior Assembly (Continued)
Ensure the knob is in the correct position. Be careful not to pinch the control wire during assembly.
7. Install Batteries and Cover
Install four (4) high-quality AA alkaline batteries. The keypad will illuminate, and the lock will perform an automatic handing detection sequence (locking and unlocking motions). Wait for the lock to beep and the keypad to flash before touching the keypad.
8. Testing Operation
Test the lock button with the door open. Test unlocking using the keypad. Ensure the latch opens and closes easily. If not, recheck previous installation steps.
