Note on Fit: Due to variations in the size of lock slots on different devices, there might be a gap between the lock and the device. The supplied spacers are included to provide a custom fit and enhance security.
Using the Spacers
If a gap exists between the lock and your device's slot, use the included spacers for a secure fit.
- Insert the lock into your device's lock slot (as described in step 4 of "Securing the Lock to Electronic Device"). Release the lock button.
- Gently pull the lock away from the electronic device to check for any gap.
- If a gap is present, remove the lock from the device and apply a spacer. To apply a spacer, remove its backing and adhere it onto the lock mechanism.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2. If a gap still exists, add additional spacer(s) on top of the first one.
- Insert and push the lock firmly into your device's lock slot. This will compress the spacers, ensuring a tight and secure fit. Listen for a slight click.
Confirming the Lock is Secure
Verify the lock is properly secured:
LOCKED CORRECTLY:
- The black spacer should be tightly squeezed within the lock slot.
- All combination digits should be visible and clear.
LOCKED INCORRECTLY:
- The black spacer is not tightly squeezed.
- Combination digits are not fully visible or are obscured.
