How to Use Your Thermostat
The T6 Pro Z-Wave thermostat offers intuitive control over your home's heating and cooling.
Thermostat Display Overview
The main screen provides essential information:
- Desired Temperature: Displays the target indoor temperature you have set.
- Current Conditions: Shows the current indoor temperature and/or the relative indoor humidity. Touch the screen to toggle between these readings.
- System Mode: Indicates the current operating mode of your HVAC system (e.g., Heat, Cool, Off).
- Fan Status: Displays the current fan setting (e.g., Auto, On, Circulate).
- Z-Wave Connection Status: Shows the status of the thermostat's connection to your Z-Wave network.
Adjusting Temperature
Use the '+' or '-' buttons directly on the thermostat to set your desired temperature.
System Mode Selection
To change the system mode, touch the 'Mode' button. Available options include:
- Auto (if enabled)
- Heat
- Cool/Off
- EM Heat (Emergency Heat - available if installed and configured)
Fan Mode Selection
To select the fan operation, touch the 'Fan' button. Options are:
- Auto
- On
- Circulate
Menu Navigation
Access advanced features such as programming a schedule and other customizable settings by touching the 'Menu' button.
Power and Z-Wave Setup
The thermostat's screen will remain lit for 45 seconds after changes if powered by a 24 VAC source. If powered solely by batteries, the screen stays lit for 8 seconds. To include or exclude the thermostat from your Z-Wave network, navigate to the thermostat's MENU and select Z-WAVE SETUP.
