Product Overview
This document provides instructions and information for the BYTECH RUGGEDSPEAKER, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless speaker.

The speaker contains a rechargeable 800 mAh Built-In Lithium Battery.
Safety Instructions
- Do not disassemble the speaker to prevent electrical shock, burns, or product failure.
- Exercise caution in high temperatures.
- Do not use the product in a hospital or on an airplane.
- The speaker has an IPX6 waterproof grade, meaning it functions from splashing water. Do not submerge in water.
- Avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight, heat, or flame.
- Product is not covered under warranty for natural oxidation such as metal rust or surface spalling.
- Failure to heed warnings may result in damage, shock, or injury.
- The device may become warm while charging.
- Always turn the product off and unplug from the power outlet when not in use.
- Ensure adequate ventilation for the product.
- Do not press buttons too hard, as this could damage the product.
- Clean the product with a dry cloth only; do not use chemicals.
- Never attempt to repair the product yourself; consult a certified technician.
- Do not insert foreign objects into the product.
- Avoid dropping the product to prevent damage from impacts.
Charging
Connect the small end of the included Micro USB cable to the Micro USB port on the back of the speaker. Connect the larger end to a USB port on your computer or an AC adapter (not included). The LED indicator will turn red while charging.
Pairing Instructions
- Place the speaker within 30 feet (10m) of your Bluetooth-enabled device.
- Slide the ON/OFF button to the ON position. The blue LED will flash rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings, turn on the feature, and search for new devices.
- Search for "BY-BS-186". If prompted, enter the password "0000" or "1234".
- Select "BY-BS-186" to pair. The blue LED will flash slowly upon successful pairing.
Controls and Functions
M Button:
- Short Press: Change to FM mode
- Short Press: Change to BT mode
- Long Press: Power ON/OFF
- Double Click: Activate light flashing mode
+ Button:
- Long Press: Volume Up
- Short Press: Next Song
- Button:
- Long Press: Volume Down
- Short Press: Previous Song
Play/Pause Button:
- Short Press: Play/Pause
- Double Click: TWS (True Wireless Stereo) function
FM Mode
Press the 'M' button to switch to FM mode. Use the Micro USB cable as an antenna. Press the Play/Pause button to search for radio stations.
TWS Function
When two Rugged Speakers are powered on and their blue lights are flashing, double-click the 'Play/Pause' button on either speaker until you hear a prompt "ding". The blue lights will stop flashing, and the two speakers will be connected to each other.
Light Flashing Mode
Double-click the 'M' button to activate the light flashing mode.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |

| No Power | Recharge the speaker using the included Micro USB cable. Try a different cable if necessary. |
| Music Not Playing Over Bluetooth | Ensure your Bluetooth device supports the A2DP profile. Verify that both devices are paired and connected. Restart the speaker to reconnect your Bluetooth device. |
| Bluetooth Device Will Not Reconnect | On your Bluetooth device, go to Bluetooth settings, select "BY-BS-186", and choose "Forget". Follow the pairing steps again. |
| No Voice or Distortion of Sound | Check and adjust the volume on both the speaker and your device. Ensure the battery is not too low; recharge if necessary. |
| Music Breaking Play | Verify that your device is within the effective connection range (33 feet / 10m). Check for any obstacles between the speaker and your device. |
