Getting Started: Initial Checks

1. Seal Check

AntiSpyPhone is shipped with a security seal. If the seal appears to have been tampered with or broken, there is a possibility of third-party interference. Please refrain from using the device and contact the seller immediately.

2. Set Screen Lock PIN

AntiSpyPhone does not have a screen lock set by default. It is recommended to set a PIN for your screen lock. Fingerprint unlock can also be configured simultaneously.

Path: Settings → Security & Privacy → Screen Lock → Set PIN. Enter a PIN of 6 digits or more.

Advanced Security: DuressPass Setup

DuressPass allows you to set a second, hidden PIN. Entering this PIN when prompted for the screen lock will initiate a complete and irreversible factory reset of your AntiSpyPhone, deleting all data. This serves as a final measure to protect your privacy and assets from threats like coercion or robbery.

Important Considerations:

• Ensure you fully understand the implications before setting it up.
• Accidental activation will result in the permanent deletion of all data.
• While a powerful feature, exercise extreme caution after setting it.
• If you are not confident in managing this feature, it is recommended not to set it up.

Path: Settings → Security & Privacy → Device Unlock → Duress password. Set your PIN or password, or both.

Enhanced Security: Random PIN Layout

Set up Random PIN Layout (Scramble PIN)

Random PIN layout prevents others from guessing your PIN through shoulder surfing or observing your finger movements. The PIN pad arrangement will change randomly with each lock screen appearance.

Path: Settings → Security & Privacy → Device Unlock → Screen Lock. On the right side of the screen lock settings, select the gear icon ⚙️ and turn ON Scramble PIN input layout.

Network & Internet Setup

Prepare Wi-Fi or SIM

Configure your network connection using Wi-Fi or a SIM card.

Path: Settings → Network & Internet. This can be configured here.

Your AntiSpyPhone cannot be tracked, even when operating solely on Wi-Fi.

If using mobile communication via SIM, please refer to your SIM provider's setup guide for APN (Access Point Name) settings.

Enabling Proton Services

Connect to ProtonVPN

ProtonVPN offers free, high-speed VPN connections. It is pre-configured and ready to use upon initial setup.

Get ProtonMail

ProtonMail is a free and anonymous email service headquartered in Switzerland, renowned for its strong commitment to user privacy. You do not need to obtain a ProtonMail address if you do not require an email service.

While other services may offer faster or more stable connections, they might come at the cost of anonymity. Be aware that online payments can potentially link your identity. It is advisable to prioritize free services and avoid using payment intermediaries whenever possible.

Getting Started: Verification and Browsing

VPN Connection Status

A key icon ? indicates that your VPN connection is active.

Verify Your Connection

Confirm that your VPN connection is working correctly by visiting verification sites such as:

Once your VPN is successfully connected, there are no longer any means for your AntiSpyPhone to be tracked.

Browser: Vanadium

Vanadium Browser is installed as a privacy-enhanced alternative to Chrome. It offers a similar user experience to Chrome while effectively blocking numerous advertisements and tracking activities.

Advanced Privacy Options

For users requiring a higher level of privacy, Orbot and Tor Browser are provided.

Using App Stores

Aurora Store: Google Play Alternative

Utilize Aurora Store as a substitute for Google Play. It enables you to install applications anonymously without requiring a Google account. Aurora Store logs into Google Play anonymously and offers a comparable selection, safety, and user experience to Google Play, all for free.

Please note that not all applications available on Google Play may be accessible through Aurora Store.

F-Droid: Direct APK Downloads

F-Droid allows for direct download of applications via APK files. If you cannot find a required app on Aurora Store, or if an app is unavailable there, consider using F-Droid.

Registering New Profiles

AntiSpyPhone supports the simultaneous use of up to 32 profiles. This allows you to manage 32 Android devices through a single AntiSpyPhone instance.

Adding a New Profile

Begin by adding a new profile for another user.

Path: Settings → System → Users → Allow user switching → Add user.

You can add or switch between users from this menu.

Adding Apps to a New Profile

If you wish to install applications for a new profile:

Path: Settings → System → Users → New User → Select apps to install from the Available apps to install option.
