Siemens SIPROTEC 5 Compact 7SX800 Universal Protection Device
From Siemens | for the Future | for You
Description
The SIPROTEC 7SX800 is a universal, compact protection device that is part of the SIPROTEC 5 device series. It aids in optimizing device variants and associated training and spare-parts costs. This device is specifically developed for the efficient and compact protection of feeders, lines, and motors in medium-voltage systems, and can also be used in high-voltage areas. It covers diverse protection, automation, and monitoring applications with its modular functional scope. Its high performance and comprehensive library of functions enhance its application field up to high-voltage applications.
The universal device allows connecting a large number of inputs and outputs within a very small space and features a comprehensive library of protection functions that can be activated using function points.
The SIPROTEC 7SX800 is designed with future-proof functions. Virtual testing with SIPROTEC DigitalTwin significantly reduces testing and fault analysis times. IoT connectivity provides simple access to device data and quick response times. Integrated cybersecurity functions comprehensively protect the device and support maximum availability of the power system.
Based on the SIPROTEC 5 platform and the DIGSI 5 engineering tool, the range of functions and applications of the SIPROTEC 7SX800 are continuously expanded. It offers future-proof system solutions, high investment security, and low operating costs.
