Introduction
Thank you for choosing the EFM® Altai Wireless HD Earbuds! You can use this product with all iOS and Android compatible Bluetooth® devices to stream music and enjoy handsfree calling. In order to get the best results when using these earbuds, please read this manual first.

Pairing to Mobile Phone or Other Device
To use your earbuds, you must first pair them with a phone or a computer. Once your earbuds are paired to a specific mobile phone or other device, they will remain paired and automatically connect whenever they are within range.
Pairing to a Phone and/or Media Device:
- Turn on your phone and ensure its Bluetooth® function is activated.
- Turn on the earbuds to the pairing mode.
- Search your Bluetooth® devices on your phone by following the phone's instructions. Refer to your phone's user manual for more information.
- Select EFM Altai and follow your phone instructions to select this pairing.
- Blue LED will flash when pairing is successful.
- You can play music; watch TV/movies and play games with your phone while listening to music from the device. You can also control the player by operating the device. For example, increase the volume and selecting the next track from your music.
Pairing to a Computer and/or Media Device:
- If there is no Bluetooth® function supported by your computer, a Bluetooth® adapter is necessary. Fix the adapter with your computer and ensure its Bluetooth® function is activated.
- Turn on the device and go to the pairing mode.
- Open the Bluetooth® interface on your computer and select 'Search your Bluetooth® devices' function. Refer to the user manual of the respective device for more information.
- After a few seconds the 'EFM ALTAI' should appear as a discovered device.
- Select 'EFM ALTAI' and the device will commence pairing with the earbuds.
- Open your media player to watch TV/movies and play music and games. The sound will playback on your device.
Charging Your Device
The device conveniently connects to an AC charger or a USB charger with a Micro USB port (refer to connection diagram). Make sure that your device is fully charged for at least 3 hours before initial use. Insert one terminal of your charger into the AC main or USB port of the PC and the other terminal to the Micro USB. While charging, the red LED light will display and once charging is complete the indicator LED turns from red to blue.
Warning:
- Use only the charging cable supplied to charge the earbuds.
- If the earbuds have not been in use for more than 12 months they must be recharged.
- Please don't use the USB charger on any other phone jack device.
FAQ
- Why is there no power even when the earbuds have the power on?
A: Ensure the battery has been charged for up to 3 hours before using for the first time. The LED is lit once it starts charging. - There is no sound when played.
A: Check the connection between your device and the phone or computer. If the connection is not established, please pair again. - How do I know if the earbuds are fully charged?
A: The red LED indicator will turn off. - Why won't the earbuds connect to a second phone?
A: Please set the earbuds to Multipoint mode. Connect the earbuds to phone A, once again enter to pairing mode (phone A will disconnect), and connect the earbuds to phone B, and then use phone A paired device list to reconnect to the earbuds.
Replacement Warranty Registration Instructions
- Register your product along with your proof of purchase (receipt) within 14 days at www.myefm.com/register.
- If you have any issues with your registered product during the warranty period, complete the Warranty Claim form, including any images of the fault, at www.myefm.com/warranty.
- We will review your claim and, if approved, please send your faulty product back to us (at your cost). Upon receipt your free replacement product will be sent to you free of charge anywhere within Australia.
*Please Note: Only products registered within 14 days of purchase with a valid receipt are eligible for the EFM Registered Warranty Program.
This program covers EFM products only, not devices and/or device parts. The 2 Year free replacement warranty is limited to 1 replacement per verified proof of purchase registration.
Replacement Warranty Details
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure (defective goods).
EFM will repair or replace such defective goods for up to 2 year from the date of purchase. This warranty is against defects in the goods purchased and does not cover damage caused by the incorrect use or installation of the goods, or by modifications, or by accident.
To claim under the warranty you need to return the product to the place of purchase (at your expense) with a valid receipt or other proof of purchase. If you are not able to return the product to the place of purchase you can contact:
