ALLPOWERS S1500 PLUS Portable Power Station

Model: S1500 PLUS

Version: S1500 PLUS V2.0

Welcome

Thank you for purchasing and using this portable solar power generation and energy storage device. The product combines solar power generation technology, energy storage technology (real-time management of charging and discharging through mobile apps) to achieve mobile and off-grid applications of solar energy and energy storage products, providing more convenience and possibilities for our daily lives. We sincerely hope that before you embark on your journey of off-grid electricity use, you will carefully read this manual or at least read the following usage instructions (in addition, please also keep this manual properly for future use).

Notice Before Use

  1. Before outdoor use, please ensure that the remaining power of the system is not too low. The electrical energy consumed by the appliances first comes from the battery pack inside the system rather than the external solar panels. (Solar cells need sufficient sunlight to effectively convert light energy into electrical energy and store it in the battery pack for later use.)
  2. Before using it for the first time, we suggest that you connect the mains power to fully charge the product before using it. (In addition, the battery pack will experience temperature rise during the charging and discharging process. It is necessary to ensure good ventilation in the usage environment to assist in heat dissipation, and to keep away from all combustible or potentially combustible materials or conductor materials.)
  3. Compared to common maintenance-free lead-acid batteries, the system uses lithium batteries with higher specific capacity and lower self-discharge rate, but they have relatively high requirements for usage and storage environment. Please be sure to use and store in the designated environment. Improper usage habits may shorten the service life of the product. Suggested usage and storage temperature: 0~+40 (°C)/32~104 (°F).
  4. Before providing emergency power to household appliances through mains power, please make sure that the rated power of your household appliances does not exceed 1500W and the surge power does not exceed 3000W (some household appliances require high-power support during startup, and the instantaneous power during startup may be three times their rated working power. If customers have any questions, they can refer to the product manual or consult your product dealer, and they can generally get a proper answer.)
  5. Different countries have different indoor electricity standards (US/JP 110V 60Hz or EU/UK/CN 230V AU 240V 50Hz). To avoid being unable to use, please choose the appropriate version according to the local electricity standards.

Charging Your Power Station

The power station can be charged via three methods:

The estimated charging times are for reference only:

Charging Method Estimated Charging Time
Method 1: Standard charging cable (1000W maximum input) Approximately 1.2-1.5 hours
Method 2: Car cigarette lighter base (100W maximum input) Approximately 12-13 hours
Method 3: Solar charging (MPPT 650W maximum input) Approximately 2-2.5 hours
Method 1+2/3: 1000W maximum input About 1.2-1.5 hours

Solar Charging Factors

The charging effect of solar energy is closely related to factors such as solar module power, light intensity, and sunlight incidence angle. ☀️

Reminder: During the charging process, please turn off the laptop ? to reduce screen power consumption. The laptop battery can store full charge faster.

Optimal Lighting Time: Choose the period 2-3 hours before and after noon each day. More abundant sunlight and thinner clouds/mist bring the solar panel output closer to its theoretical peak power.

Optimal Angle of Sunlight Incidence: The inclination angle between the solar panel and the ground should be between 30-60 degrees. Install the solar panel as far south as possible to maximize solar radiation.

Avoid Obstructions: Regularly inspect photovoltaic modules and remove potential obstructions like trees or accumulated dust. Even minor obstructions can significantly reduce power output.

Seasonal Variation: Light radiation varies seasonally, but photoelectric conversion efficiency depends more on light intensity than temperature. Cold winter weather has a relatively limited impact on temporary charging effects.

How to Supply Power to Other Electrical Appliances and Loads

The power station offers various output ports:

Important Notes:

  1. Before use, verify that the rated working voltage of your electrical appliances matches the output voltage of the system's ports. For AC output, check for the risk of overload.
  2. For safety, when using USB AC output, press the control button to turn on the output mode. The LCD screen will light up and display the total output power.
  3. After each output is completed, press the control button to exit the output mode to save energy, and then remove the electrical appliances. Remember to short press the control key to exit the AC output mode specifically.

Powering Loads with Different Rated Powers

When powering loads with different rated powers, you may notice:

If the load power is high (e.g., a small refrigerator ?), the battery drains quickly, and the actual total energy consumption is close to the nominal battery energy. However, when using a lower power consumer, the actual total energy consumption may differ significantly from the nominal battery energy, and the battery life might appear shorter than theoretically calculated. This is primarily due to the device's self-consumption power, which becomes more noticeable relative to lower consumer power draw.

Reference for Energy Supply Time of Common Electrical Appliances

The following table provides estimated runtimes for common appliances:

Appliance Type Power Consumption DC Power Supply (Estimated Hours) AC Power Supply (Estimated Hours)
Smartphone 5W 174 35
Laptop 60W 17 12.6
Tablet 40W 25 16.9
Camera 10W 87 29
Small Fan ? 30W - 20
Fan ? 50W - 14.5
Light Bulb ? 30W - 29
Kettle ☕ 120W - 7.1

Note: DC power supply times are estimates for devices drawing DC power directly. AC power supply times are for devices powered via the AC outlets.

Precautions for Regular Maintenance and Storage

  1. To ensure battery health and stable performance, fully charge the product at least every 90 days.
  2. Handle the device with care to prevent collisions. Avoid contact with sharp objects, do not strike with force, and keep away from children.
  3. To save energy, exit output mode and ensure control keys are turned off when your appliances are fully charged.
  4. Battery performance and capacity can be affected by temperature (cold weather, high temperatures, direct sunlight). Use the device at room temperature (0°C - 40°C) and avoid outdoor or humid environments for long-term storage.
  5. If you are in a cold location without AC power, store the device in a warm place and connect it to a power source (preferably 5-10W solar panels). The natural heat generated during charging helps maintain optimal battery capacity.
  6. It is recommended to maintain at least 20% of the remaining battery capacity during normal use. Frequently depleting the battery to 0% can damage the recyclable life of the battery cells.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Can I use the product to power other appliances while the main unit is charging?
Yes, the product supports simultaneous charging and discharging, allowing you to connect other electronic loads while charging the product.
2. If the product is not used frequently, how often does it need to be charged?
Rechargeable batteries have varying degrees of self-discharge. Battery capacity decline is related to storage environment and usage habits. We recommend fully charging the product at least every three months. Otherwise, long-term low battery charge can exacerbate the deterioration of the battery's active material quality, leading to irreversible loss of battery capacity.
3. How to determine if multiple appliances can be used simultaneously? If not, will it cause damage to my equipment?
When AC supplies power to multiple electrical appliances simultaneously, if the total power is too high, the energy storage system will prompt overcurrent or overload faults and turn off the AC output. This is a normal protection mechanism and will not cause damage.
4. Can the product be carried on an airplane?
This product cannot be transported by passenger aircraft. Please choose shipping or freight. Additionally, before shipment, it is necessary to refer to local air traffic regulations to make reasonable arrangements.

Disposal Guidelines

  1. If conditions permit, ensure the battery is completely depleted before discarding it in the designated battery recycling bin. Batteries containing potentially hazardous chemicals must not be disposed of in regular trash cans. Please comply with local laws and regulations on battery recycling and disposal.
  2. If the battery cannot be fully discharged due to product malfunction, do not discard it directly into the battery recycling box. Please contact a professional battery recycling company for further processing.
  3. Please discard excessively discharged batteries that cannot be charged.
