PLEASE FIND A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN FOR INSTALLATION. Please read the instructions before you install and use the luminaire.
General Safety and Electrical Codes
GENERAL: ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL AND NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (N.E.C.) STANDARDS. IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH PROPER ELECTRICAL WIRING CONNECTIONS OBTAIN THE SERVICES OF A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN. REMOVE THE TRIM FROM THE BOX AND MAKE SURE THAT NO PARTS ARE MISSING.
Important Warnings
⚠ WARNING - Risk of fire or electric shock. LED Retrofit Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaires electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
⚠ WARNING - Risk of fire or electric shock. Install this kit only in luminaires that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the photographs and/or drawings and where the input rating of the retrofit kit does not exceed the input rating of the luminaire.
Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.
⚠ WARNING - To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
Risk of Electric Shock: Disconnect power or circuit breaker before installing or servicing.
⚠ WARNING DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICING.
Installation Steps
- Screw the two Mounting Screws (#6) into the Mounting Strap (#4).
- Mount the Mounting Strap (#4) to the Outlet Box(#3) using the two Outlet Box Screws (#5). Make sure the heads of the Mounting Screws (#6) are facing outside when the Mounting Strap(#4) is attached to the Outlet Box(#3).
- Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the Outlet Box (#3). Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white wire (neutral wire) from the Outlet Box (#3). Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black wire (live wire) from the Outlet Box (#3). Cover the connections using the Wire Connectors (#2). Wrap the wire connections with electrical tape for a more secure connection. Position the wires back inside the Outlet Box (#3). Note: If you have electrical questions, consult your local electrical code for approved grounding methods.
- Place the Canopy (#1) over the Outlet Box(#3). Allow the heads of the Mounting Screws (#6) to come out through the large ends of the keyholes of the Canopy (#1). Twist the Canopy (#1) until the heads of the Mounting Screws (#6) slide into the narrow ends of the keyholes. Screw the Mounting Screws (#6) to secure the Canopy (#1).
- Before completing installation, please cover the lampshade on the corresponding rotary buttons position of the chassis, and lock the lampshade according to the arrow direction.
- Installation is complete. Turn on the power at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
