Product Description

The Evaporative Air Cooler is an efficient, energy-saving product. It cools by combining water evaporation with air movement, through carefully designed and manufactured equipment, providing maximum efficiency and safety.

The evaporative cooling technology is very economical and gives a number of additional benefits compared to traditional air conditioning systems for homes and businesses. The system does not use refrigerants or compressors; it cools by simply moving air through a surface composed of specially designed evaporative cooling pads.

Heat from the inlet air is absorbed by the water. The resulting outlet air temperature drops when the water transforms into gas. Humidity is not perceived, since the air in the room is renewed approximately every two minutes, while a comfortable cooling effect is created. Continuous air circulation is a vital aspect of the evaporative cooling process used in this equipment and gives it a distinct advantage over air conditioning by refrigeration.

Unpacking

Handle the unit with care. Visually inspect for shipping damage. If any part is damaged, immediately file a claim with the carrier.

Float Valve and Drain Plug

This model features a float valve facility for automatic water filling. Ensure proper connection of the water inlet pipe to the float valve to avoid leakage.

Note: Maximum water inlet pressure 29 psi (200 kPa)

Diagram showing the rear underside of the cooler:

The drain plug is located under the cooler at the back. Pull off the drain plug to empty the tank. Ensure the drain plug is fitted securely before re-filling the tank.

Electrical Connection and Installation

Review and understand the warnings in the General Safety Information section, pages 3 & 4.

  1. Leg Installation: Insert legs on both sides at the bottom. Fit using 6 supplied screws.

Diagram shows the unit front. Castor wheels with brakes MUST be at the front of the unit. Screws are indicated.

  2. Install the cooler on a flat, level surface.
  3. Adjustable Louvres: The Up and Down Louvres can be adjusted using the protruded tab.
  4. Water Filling: Add clean water into the water tank. Check the water level window on the front of the cooler to see when the water tank is full.

Diagram shows the side of the cooler with a water level indicator.

  5. Plug the unit into a 230VAC (± 10%) 50 Hz, 1 phase GFCI protected grounded outlet.

Operation

Control Panel & Remote Control

The unit can be operated via the control panel on the unit or the remote control (batteries not included).

Diagram shows the control panel with buttons and indicators, and a separate remote control.

Control Panel Buttons:

  • POWER []: Touch to turn ON/OFF the air cooler. The LED blinks continuously in white when the unit is ON.
  • COOL [❄️]: Touch to switch ON/OFF the pump. The LED blinks in white when the pump is OFF and is ON when the pump is ON.
  • FAN [?️]: When Fan is ON, the Fan icon glows. Touch to select High, Med, or Low speed. The selected speed is indicated by 3 (high), 2 (medium), and 1 (low).
  • SWING [?]: Touch to switch ON/OFF the swing function. The LED blinks in white when OFF and is ON when ON.
  • TIMER [⏱️]: Press to set OFF timer to 1-7 hours in 1-hour intervals. The Timer icon glows when ON, and the LEDs indicate the total OFF time set.
  • WATER Alarm [?]: If no water in the tank, the Water LED blinks continuously in white. It is ON if the water tank is full.

Remote Control: Open the battery compartment at the back and insert two new AAA dry cell batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-) markings.

Air Renewal Requirements

When your cooler is working, leave a window or door open to maintain constant airflow and avoid humidity/heat accumulation. Restricted airflow reduces cooling efficiency due to increased humidity. An opening of at least 1 square foot for every 500 CFM of injected air is required.

Maintenance

WARNING:

Stagnant water may cause bacterial growth and serious health problems. Do not allow stagnant water to remain in the tank.

Drain and clean the water tank before storage, after seasonal use, and whenever the unit is not used for a long time period.

General Maintenance

Changing/Cleaning the Filter Pads

  1. Completely drain the tank by removing the drain plug located at the bottom.
  2. Remove two screws of the air cooler panel and take out the cooling pad.
  3. It is recommended to clean the cooling pad regularly.
  4. Use a soft damp cloth or soft plastic brush and a gentle spray of water.
  5. Do not use high-pressure jet water or acidic water for pad cleaning.

Diagram shows cleaning a cooling pad with a gentle water spray, and a separate diagram showing a high-pressure jet and acidic water with 'X' marks indicating they should not be used.

Wiring Diagram

The wiring diagram illustrates the electrical connections for the evaporative cooler. Key components include:

  • POWER PCB: Contains the main control circuitry.
  • KEY PCB: Interface for control panel buttons (FAN, COOL, POWER, SWING, WATER).
  • SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR: Likely drives the fan.
  • PUMP: Operates the water circulation for the cooling pads.
  • MOTOR: (Potentially another motor, or refers to the fan motor).

Connections are made to terminals labeled:

  • NEUTRAL
  • SINGLE PHASE (1Ø)
  • COMMON (connected to BLUE wire)
  • LOW (connected to RED wire)
  • MED (connected to WHITE/YELLOW wire)
  • HIGH (connected to BLACK wire)

The diagram shows these connections originating from the POWER PCB and leading to the PUMP and SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR.
