Connecting With Your Computer
- Turn on your computer.
- Insert the USB interface of KB487L keyboard into a USB port of your computer (better choose the USB port locating on the back of the chassis instead of those on the front).
- Wait for 1 minute, and your keyboard will automatically be read by your computer with no extra driver needed.
(Note: KB487L is a plug & play keyboard, no need of any driver.)
Backlit Functions
For this keyboard, only the number pad, "Caplocks" key, and "Num lock" key have backlighting. You can use their backlighting to know the state of these keys.
- Press the "Capslock" key to turn on/off its backlighting. Capslock is on when its backlighting is on. Capslock is off when its backlighting is off.
- Press FN+NUMLOCK to turn on/off the backlighting of the number pad.
- When the backlighting of the number pad is on, the numbers are working and the Numlock is on. (However, the functional keys HOME, PGUP, PGDN, END, and DEL are not working).
- When the backlighting of the number pad is off, the numbers are not working and the Numlock is off. (The functional keys HOME, PGUP, PGDN, END, and DEL are working).
(NOTE: Since the MAC system does not have the NUMLOCK function, FN+NUMLOCK does not work under the MAC system.)

Warm tips:
- As Havit's keycaps are high-profile and OEM, and this keyboard is a standard layout, you can customize the keycaps as you like.
- Since this keyboard uses mechanically welded shafts, you cannot replace the shaft body.
