Quick Start Guide
Getting Started: Connect, Launch, Redeem
Follow these three simple steps to set up your Seagate Ultra Touch external hard drive.
1. Connect
Connect the Ultra Touch drive to your computer using the provided USB-C cable.

2. Launch
For Windows users, locate and run the "Start_Here_Win" application on the drive. For Mac users, locate and run "Start_Here_Mac". For Chromebook users, visit www.seagate.com/support/wwcb.

3. Redeem
Keep your files safe! Follow the instructions within the launched application to download and install Seagate Toolkit. Use Toolkit to create a password for your drive, ensuring your data is protected.

Important Information
Mac Formatting for Time Machine
The Ultra Touch drive is preformatted with exFAT, making it compatible with both PC and Mac. If you intend to use the drive with Apple's Time Machine backup software, it must be reformatted specifically for Mac. Please be aware that reformatting will erase all data previously stored on the drive. For more information, visit www.seagate.com/time-machine.
Data Protection and Safe Removal
To protect your data, always follow the safe removal procedures for your operating system when disconnecting the drive. This prevents data corruption.
