Important Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow instructions can result in serious injury or death.
- Ensure all enclosure panels are properly in place before operating.
- Use the dishwasher only for its intended function.
- Use only recommended detergents and rinse agents. Keep them out of reach of children.
- When loading items: locate sharp items to avoid damaging the door seal, and load sharp knives with handles up to reduce cut-type injury risk.
- Do not wash plastic items unless marked "dishwasher safe" or equivalent.
- Do not touch the heating element during or immediately after use.
- Do not allow children to play in or on the dishwasher.
- Hydrogen Gas Warning: If the hot water system has not been used for two weeks or more, hydrogen gas may accumulate. This gas is explosive. Before using the dishwasher, turn on all hot water faucets and let water flow for several minutes to release accumulated gas. Do not smoke or use an open flame during this time.
- When removing an old dishwasher, remove the door or lid to the washing compartment.
- Ensure the dishwasher is properly grounded. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug; have a proper outlet installed if needed.
- For permanently connected dishwashers, ensure connection to a grounded metal, permanent wiring system or run an equipment-grounding conductor.
- Install the dishwasher where it is protected from the elements and freezing temperatures to avoid possible rupture of the fill valve.
- Install and level the dishwasher on a floor that can support its weight in a suitable area.
- Remove all shipping plugs from hoses and connectors before installation.
Before First Use
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Read the entire Use and Care Guide.
- Ensure the door is firmly closed; it latches automatically.
- Remove leftover food, bones, toothpicks, and other hard items from dishes. Rinsing dishes is not necessary to conserve water, energy, and time.
- Fill the detergent dispenser before use.
