Important Safeguards
- Use the appliance exclusively for private and intended domestic purposes. Not for commercial use or outdoors unless specified.
- Keep away from heat, direct sunlight, humidity, and sharp edges. Do not immerse in liquids.
- Do not use with wet hands. Unplug immediately if the appliance becomes humid or wet. Do not touch water.
- Always switch off and unplug the appliance when not in use, when attaching accessories, or for cleaning/troubleshooting.
- Do not operate the appliance without supervision. Switch off or unplug if leaving the workplace.
- Regularly check the appliance and cable for damage. Do not use if damaged.
- Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Contact an authorized technician. Faulty cables must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service, or a qualified person with an equivalent cable.
- Use only original spare parts.
- Keep packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene) out of reach of children. Caution: Plastic film poses a suffocation risk.
- Ensure the cable is not hanging low and children cannot access the appliance.
- Do not overfill; boiling water may be ejected. The maximum level is marked inside.
- Ensure the lid is correctly positioned before operating to avoid scalding.
- Scalding may occur if the lid is removed while heating.
- Do not use the kettle for purposes other than heating water; other liquids or food will contaminate the interior.
Initial Operation
- Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water to maximum capacity, boil, discard the water, and repeat.
- Always unplug the kettle when filling or adding water.
- Fill the kettle with water to the desired level. Do not overfill (risk of spillage/spitting). Close the lid after filling; otherwise, the kettle may not switch off automatically.
- Do not fill with less than 0.5 liters (MIN indication) to prevent the kettle running dry.
- Do not fill with more than 1.7 liters (MAX indication).
- The kettle has an automatic safety cut-out for overheating protection. If activated due to insufficient water, unplug, let cool for 5-10 minutes, refill, and switch on.
- Place the power base on a dry, flat surface.
- Place the kettle on the power base; electrical connections are made automatically.
- Plug the cord set into an earthed power socket.
- Switch on by pressing the ON/OFF switch; the pilot light will illuminate.
- The kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled.
- Do not remove the kettle from the power base without switching off first.
- To pour water, lift the kettle from the power base and pour.
Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth or sponge.
- Use a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent for stubborn spots.
- Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
- Never immerse the kettle, cord, or base in water or other liquids.
- Clean the appliance only after it has completely cooled down.
- Ensure the power cord remains dry.
- Ensure electrical connections are dry before operating.
Descaling
- Descale the kettle regularly, at least twice a year for normal use.
- Fill the kettle to "MAX" with a mixture of one part vinegar and two parts water. Switch on and wait for it to switch off automatically.
- Let the mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.
- Discard the mixture the next morning.
- Fill the kettle with clean water up to "MAX" and boil again.
- Discard this boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
- Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
