Hera Dynamic-Controller 24V Radio Control 75W: Assembly and Operating Instructions

Model: 24V Funk 75W / Radio Control 75W

Intended Use

The Dynamic-Controller is designed to connect to electronic safety isolating converters for LED 24V...W systems, operated via a wireless remote control. It is intended for indoor use only.

Safety Precautions and General Instructions

  • Always disconnect from the mains supply before mounting or dismounting the lighting fixture.
  • Faulty parts must only be replaced with original Hera parts.
  • Ensure all plug connections are fully inserted.
  • Approved for connection to Hera LED transformers 24V with a maximum output power of 200W.
  • Hera provides no warranty if other LED converters are used.
  • The total load must not exceed the converter's nominal load capacity.
  • Adhere to specified installation distances for the converter.

Assembly

Assembly Dimensions

The controller unit measures approximately 96mm in length, 70mm in width, and 16.5mm in height. Both LED 24V plugs must be inserted into the 12-way distributor of the converter.

Connection Steps

  1. Connect the LED converter to the mains power supply.
  2. Connect the Dynamic-Controller to the converter's distributor.

Pairing Additional Controllers / Remote Controls

Steps 3-6 are for pairing additional Dynamic-Controllers to the same remote control:

  1. Using a pointed object (e.g., ballpoint pen tip, screwdriver), press the "Study Button" located on the Dynamic-Controller receiver. The indicator lamp will turn blue.
  2. Press the On/Off button on the remote control for approximately 1 second. The indicator lamp will flash several times and then turn off.
  3. If the indicator lamp remains lit after these steps, the pairing has failed. Repeat the process.
  4. Once successfully paired, the Dynamic LED luminaires can be controlled via the remote.

Note: The controller board may lock after 1 minute of inactivity. Pressing any of the 3 buttons on the remote will unlock it. A continuously flashing indicator lamp does not affect normal operation.

Remote Control Operation

The remote control has a maximum range of 15 meters. The Dynamic-Controller features a memory function, retaining the last operational state (brightness, color temperature) before a power disconnection. Upon power restoration, the luminaires will reactivate in their previous state.

Color Temperature Adjustment

The color appearance of the LED lights can be freely adjusted between 2700K and 5000K using the color wheel on the remote.

Dimming and On/Off

  • Dim Down: A short press adjusts brightness in 11 levels. Holding the button down allows for stepless dimming from 100% down to approximately 10%.
  • Dim Up: A short press adjusts brightness in 11 levels. Holding the button down allows for stepless dimming from approximately 10% up to 100%.
  • On/Off: Pressing the button turns the lights on or off. The last switched status is restored upon turning on (Memory-Function).

A holder is included with the remote control for storage. This holder can be attached using adhesive tape or screws.

Multiway Switching

Up to 7 remote controls can be programmed to operate one or more controllers. When using multiway switching, it may be necessary to press a remote control button twice for the function to engage; this is not a malfunction. Combinations of different Hera remote controls (surface-mount, recessed, 4-channel, flush-mounted) are supported.

Reset Function

To delete all programmed remote controls, press the "Study Button" on the receiver three times within one second.

Battery Installation

The remote control uses a Lithium CR2032 3V battery. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) when inserting the battery.

Declaration of Conformity

Battery Safety and Disposal

  • Never attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Insert batteries correctly, observing plus (+) and minus (-) markings.
  • Do not short-circuit battery contacts.
  • Use only batteries that match the recommended type or correspond to it.
  • Do not throw batteries into fire, as they may explode.
  • Dispose of batteries safely.
  • Do not dispose of used batteries or rechargeable batteries with normal household waste. Consumers are obligated to return used batteries to municipal collection points or local stores, where disposal is free of charge. The crossed-out waste bin symbol on batteries indicates they should not be disposed of in household waste. Symbols below the bin (Pb, Cd, Hg) indicate the presence of lead, cadmium, or mercury, respectively.
