Installation Specifications
IMPORTANT: To prevent burns or fire, avoid storing cabinets directly above cooktop surface units. If cabinets are present, a range hood projecting at least 5 inches horizontally beyond the cabinet bottom is recommended.
Clearances:
- A minimum of 30" is required between the top of the cooking surface and the bottom of an unprotected wood or metal cabinet.
- A minimum of 24" is required if the cabinet bottom is protected by flame retardant millboard covered with sheet steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.
- A minimum of 15" is required between the countertop and the adjacent cabinet bottom.
CAUTION: This range is designed to withstand cabinet temperatures up to 194 °F (90 °C). Ensure surrounding materials can tolerate this heat to prevent discoloration, delamination, or melting.

A range cord rated at 40 amps with 125/250 minimum volt range is required. A 50 amp range cord is not recommended, but if used, it should be marked for use with a nominal 1 3/8" diameter connection opening. Ensure the cable and strain relief are centered within the knockout hole to prevent cable damage.
