Familiarizing Yourself with Your Appliance
Overview
After unpacking, check for any damage in transit and completeness of the delivery. Refer to Fig. 1 for an overview.

Control Panel
The control panel features various buttons and display elements for operating the air fryer.
Symbols and Functions:
- Standby mode (☻): Activate/deactivate standby mode or cancel the cooking process. The appliance enters standby mode after a period of inactivity.
- Start/Pause (▶️▶): Start or pause cooking.
- Display (00:00): Shows temperature (°C) and time (min).
- Temperature setting (TEMP): Increase or decrease temperature using '+' or '-'. Range: 40-200 °C (5-degree steps). Note: Max temperature is 80 °C if time is over 120 minutes.
- Time setting (TIME): Increase or decrease cooking time using '+' or '-'. Range: 1-120 minutes. Note: If temperature is 40-80 °C, time can be extended up to 8 hours.

Additional Symbols:
- MAX: Mark for maximum filling quantity inside the basket.
- SHAKE: Flashes when it's time to shake or turn the food for even cooking. A signal tone sounds.
Before Using for the First Time
Preparation
- Loosen the band from the casing to pull out the basket (Fig. 2). Do not remove the band from the basket.
- Pull the basket out and remove packaging (Fig. 3).
- Remove the band and take out the handle (Fig. 4).
- Insert the handle into the basket opening and press down. Push the assembled basket into the appliance. Ensure the handle is securely connected (Fig. 5).
Cleaning Before First Use
- Remove packaging material and stickers/film.
- Allow the appliance to heat up without food for 30 minutes at the highest temperature setting, then cool down.
- Clean all parts that come into contact with food before first use. Note: Slight smoke or odour emission during initial use is normal.
Operation
Setting Up the Appliance
- Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, flat, and heat-resistant surface, maintaining a 10 cm safety distance from walls and objects.
- Unwind the power cord to the required length.
Adding Food to the Basket
- Remove the basket. Place the grid inside and press down (Fig. 6).
- Add food to the basket, observing the MAX fill line, and push the basket fully into the appliance (Fig. 7).
Starting Cooking
- Insert the mains plug. A signal tone will sound, and the control panel will activate (Fig. 8). The display will show preset temperature and cooking time for manual cooking (Fig. 9).
- To use a programme, press the corresponding symbol (e.g., French fries) (Fig. 10). The programme symbol will flash, and the display will show preset temperature and time (Fig. 11).
- To return to manual cooking, press the flashing programme symbol again.
- Adjust temperature using TEMP +/- (Fig. 12).
- Adjust cooking time using TIME +/- (Fig. 13).
- Start cooking by pressing Start/Pause (Fig. 14). The display shows selected temperature and remaining cooking time.
- Check cooking progress by pressing the interior lighting button (Fig. 15). The cooking compartment will be illuminated.
Shaking or Turning Food
- When SHAKE flashes, remove the basket (Fig. 16).
- Shake the food or use wooden/heat-resistant utensils to turn large or delicate items (Fig. 17).
- Push the basket fully into the appliance. Cooking will resume automatically (Fig. 18).
Taking Cooked Food Out
- When cooking ends, 'End' flashes, an acoustic signal sounds, and all symbols light up.
- Take out the basket with the cooked food (Fig. 19, Fig. 20).
- Shake food out of the basket or use a utensil to remove it (Fig. 21). For food with excess fat, tip the basket carefully to drain fat (Fig. 22). Dispose of fat safely.
Application Examples
The appliance offers 8 preset programmes. Select a programme based on the food. Note: Specified values are recommendations; actual settings may vary.
Grilling Set
Use the grill rack or skewers for grilling.
Overview:
- 1 Grill rack
- 2 Skewers, 5 pieces
Using the Grilling Set:
- For the grill rack: Place the grid in the basket, then the grill rack, and then the food (Fig. 24).
- For skewers: Place the grid and grill rack in the basket, then insert skewers into the designated recesses (Fig. 25).
- Push the basket fully into the appliance.
- Start cooking.
Overview of Cleaning
Clean all parts immediately after use.
- Do not use cleaning agents with alcohol/spirits, sharp/pointed objects, or abrasive cloths.
- Clean the control panel and display with a damp microfibre cloth.
- Clean individual parts as indicated in the table (Fig. 26).
Cleaning the Appliance and Parts
- Clean the main unit with a damp cloth and dry. Use a damp microfibre cloth for the display.
- If necessary, clean the cooking compartment with hot water and a soft cloth/sponge.
- Remove food remnants from the heating element with a soft brush.
- Remove excess fat and oil from the basket.
- For stubborn fat, pre-clean the basket with hot water and a few drops of washing-up liquid.
- Clean the basket and grid with detergent solution and a soft cloth/sponge, or place in the dishwasher.
Troubleshooting
Fault | Cause and Troubleshooting |
---|---|
The appliance is not working. | Appliance has no power supply. Check power connection. |
Appliance automatically resumes cooking following an interruption to the power supply. | Appliance saves the aborted cooking process. If power is interrupted, unplug the mains plug. Once power is restored, plug it back in. The process resumes. You can allow it to finish, interrupt to change settings, or cancel with O. Note: If the interruption was prolonged, the process may not resume automatically. |
Cooking does not start or continue. | Basket has not been properly inserted. Push the basket fully into the appliance. |
Basket cannot be fully pushed into the appliance. | Food or objects in the cooking compartment. Remove them. Use heat-resistant utensils. |
An error code appears on the display, e.g. Ex. | Electronics detected a fault. Pull out the mains plug, re-insert it. If the fault persists, call Customer Service (Page 16). |
White smoke escapes from the appliance. | Dripping fat and residues produce smoke. Clean the basket, grid, and cooking compartment thoroughly after each use to remove fat residues. Note: White smoke from fat residues does not affect the cooking result or the appliance. |
Appliance does not fit into the transport packaging with the handle attached. | Once installed, the handle is securely connected. To remove the handle, press down the rubber plug on top with a tool (e.g., screwdriver) and press the tool back while pulling the handle off (Fig. 27, Fig. 28). Note: Only remove the handle in exceptional circumstances. |
Disposing of Old Appliance
Dispose of the appliance in an environmentally friendly manner. Information about disposal methods is available from your specialist dealer or local authority. This appliance is labelled in accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU concerning waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).

Safety
Read this instruction manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
General Safety Precautions:
- Only use genuine parts.
- Suitable for warming, cooking, baking, and frying with hot air.
- For normal processing quantities and times for domestic use.
- Use in private households and enclosed domestic spaces at room temperature.
- Maximum altitude: 2000 m above sea level.
- Always disconnect from the mains after each use, when unsupervised, before cleaning, and in case of an error.
- This appliance may be used by children aged 8+ and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental abilities, provided they are supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the dangers.
- Do not let children play with the appliance.
- Children under 8 years must be kept away from the appliance and power cable.
- Never operate a damaged appliance or one with a cracked surface.
- Never pull the power cord to unplug; always unplug at the mains.
- If the appliance or power cord is damaged, unplug immediately or switch off the fuse. Call customer services.
- Connect and operate only according to the rating plate specifications.
- Connect to a properly installed earthed socket.
- Never equip the appliance with an external switching device (e.g., timer, remote control).
- Repairs should only be carried out by trained specialist staff using genuine spare parts.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, Customer Service, or a similarly qualified person.
- Never immerse the appliance or power cord in water or clean in the dishwasher.
- Never expose the appliance to intense heat or humidity.
- Do not use steam- or high-pressure cleaners.
- Keep the power cord away from hot appliance parts or heat sources, sharp points, or edges.
- Never kink, crush, or modify the power cord.
- Never place the appliance on or near hot surfaces or flammable materials (e.g., curtains, tablecloths).
- Maintain a safety distance of at least 10 cm to walls and objects to avoid heat build-up.
- Never cover the appliance or place objects on it.
- Do not store or deposit objects in the basket or cooking compartment.
- Never leave the appliance unattended while switched on.
- Never fill the basket with oil or fat.
- Never heat food containing high-proof alcohol or highly flammable constituents.
- Observe maximum capacity; never fill beyond the upper edge of the basket.
- Do not use loose pieces of baking paper or lightweight ingredients that could be sucked in by the fan (e.g., dry herbs).
- If dark smoke emerges, disconnect the appliance immediately. Do not remove the basket until smoke decreases.
Avoiding Material Damage:
- The appliance becomes hot during operation. Never touch hot surfaces. Allow to cool before cleaning or transporting.
- Never reach into the hot cooking compartment.
- Never touch the hot grill rack or skewers with bare hands; use suitable tools (e.g., potholders).
- Be careful when removing the basket as hot air and steam may escape.
- Do not lean over the appliance. Keep hands and face away from air outlets.
- Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
- Handle skewers with care.
- Keep packaging material and small parts away from children.
- Follow cleaning instructions.
- Clean surfaces that come into contact with food before each use.
- To prevent acrylamide development, do not overcook food or remove burnt residues. Never heat fresh potatoes above 180 °C.
- Do not use sharp, pointed, or metal cooking utensils. Use wood or heat-resistant plastic utensils.
- Place skewers carefully to avoid scratching the basket.
- Never place the hot basket on heat-sensitive surfaces; use a heat-resistant base.
- Never fill the basket with water or other liquids.
- Never use the grill rack or skewers in the microwave.
